Part 44

Sunday, February 1, 2026:  Here we are, in another section of the journal! Lots of things have been happening! Bobo turned 2 years old at 9:01AM this morning and changed from a little baby into a more panda-looking form. I was able to give her a bath again today! It seems she needs one bath a day just like Teddy. Now that she is older she can read books! Yesterday she would only drink milk; today she can eat apples! The only problem with this is they don't fill hunger hearts, so she is still relying on milk--for now. We are expecting another heavy snowfall warning (50cm). This evening, my trio of virtual pets got to watch "Rumor Has It" (2005). Great movie, staring Jennifer Aniston, Shirley Mclain, Mark Ruffalo, and Kevin Costner. I remember watching it when it first came out....and not having a clue what was going on in my teenage brain...wondering why Sarah, Jennifer Anistons character, wanted anything to do with that old man, Beau Burroughs, when she had that handsome fiance, Jeff. :-P I loved the movie this time around, and I'd definitely watch it again!

Monday, February 2, 2026:  We had a big snow storm, last night and into today! Bobo has been beeping for attention *a lot* for no reason, even when her stats are 100% full. Even when she's watching her TV (on pause) the attention icon lights up and beeps. I've consulted with people on the virtual pet Facebook page, and we've concluded this is just a glitch that all Bobo Byte's have. I've been keeping a close eye on my little sweetie and making sure she doesn't reset on me! I hope she makes it to adulthood. This afternoon there was a smiling sun on the screen, prompting me to put her little hat on. She is so cute when she does her happy dance!

Teddy and Spike are currently listening to a members only live on Julez with True Crime Reactions (on YouTube) with me. Bobo watched her TV and fell asleep at 8PM. We've been getting rotating power outages this evening--eeeeek!! The snow storm continues...!

Wednesday, February 4, 2026:  Things have gotten easier with Bobo! She turned 5 years old at 9AM this morning and eats more of the foods, does her exercises, and is a well rounded little panda. She moves back and forth across the screen and is much more active. She is so cute playing with the hula hoop, swinging, and doing her reading. She is much cuter and *more* fun to play with!

Spike grew into a Triceratops upon awakening this morning! I've now raised all 3 Dino's on the RakuRaku Dinokun. Yay! As for Teddy, he's still hanging in there at 73 years of age. Once he reaches 99 I will have to keep track of his age on paper. This afternoon I fell asleep on the couch watching the movie "He's Just Not That Into You" (2009). I was awoken a few hours later by Teddy, 'chuck-chucking' his little heart out! I plunked Bobo down in front of her TV before I napped--her stats remained full and she fell asleep 8PM.

Friday, February 6, 2026, 9:50AM:  Spike changed into the good luck dragon which means I did a good job raising him! Bobo has been flat out refusing to take a bath the last two days, but finally today after two successive scoldings I was able to get her face washed! I've barely let her watch any TV, unless I'm out driving, which I've not been doing much of this week... I'm quite content being at home with Teddy and Bobo. This morning we've been listening to various songs by Kate Bush, Strawberry Switchblade, STRFKR, and Beach House while I update my webpages and poke around the internet.

Evening:  I had a change of heart and decided to go out, so I paused Bobo from 11:00AM-5:15PM. Teddy got to come along to Clay Cafe for afternoon painting, followed by dinner at Swiss Chalet. We checked out EB Games after our meal--no Tams today! Then we went into Petsmart to see if they had any hamsters, which they didn't....maybe next week! Now that we are home I am going to listen to some True Crime reactions with Julez (members only). She knows *everything* about the Idaho4 case!

At 8:17PM, I hatched a Tam on my brand new "Pretty Party" Gen1! This one's name is going to be Julez, inspired by the name of the girl who runs my new favourite true crime YouTube channel! In her early life she's gotten to listen to the shrieking of Nancy Grace. ;-P At 9:22PM Julez changed into a marutchi and fell asleep. I'm going to watch re-runs until I too fall asleep.

Sunday, February 8, 2026, 9:50AM:  Bobo got bigger! She now has longer legs and a tail. I've figured out how to get her to take a bath and wash her face (via successive discipline). I always praise her once she bathes so that the happiness hearts go back to full.

Monday, February 9, 2026, 2:25PM:  Bobo changed into a full-grown Panda at 9AM this morning! She became the character named (in the instructions) Jumbo. She is *big* now! In my previous times raising Bobo I always got the character named Jasper (all black body). I love my Jumbo, she is so cute!!! She is old enough to date now that she is 10 years of age, so I have to make sure she's nice and clean each day. I've had to dress her for the weather a few times over the last couple of days, but other than that she has been easy-going, and enjoyable company. In other news, Teddy, my GigaPet Koala, will be turning 80 years old tomorrow. Yay! As for Julez, my Pretty Party Gen1, changed into tamatchi (healthy teen) this morning!

Sadly I've come down with a sore throat and chest cold. Thankfully I was able to make it to see my psychiatrist this morning for my monthly check-in! My symptoms came out of nowhere, as most colds do... I'm in bed with the heated blanket on now. Praying for a speedy recovery.

Wednesday, February 11, 2026, 2:12PM:  Something strange happened with Bobo. I thought she had reached maturity on Monday at the age of 10, but then this morning at 9:00AM she made her little changing tune and changed from Jumbo into Jasper (all black body). I wonder if she will change again? I am going to be super vigilant about disciplining her, and giving her regular baths/face washing. This afternoon a big heart appeared on the screen with another Panda: Bobo was being asked out on a date, but I accidentally pressed the wrong button, thus declining the invitation. :-( Darn! Well, she is still very cute and enjoyable to play with. I've been really sick the last couple of days with a bad flu. I'll be pausing Bobo when I go to see my GP in an hour to get my chest listened to, and see if I need an x-ray. I've not been able to update my webpages since I got sick Monday, but we'll see what the rest of the week brings...! I am going to bring Teddy and Julez along to the doctor with me.

4:20PM: Good news! I don't have pneumonia or bronchitis, but I have to take extra good care of myself so that things don't take a turn for the worse... My Dr. told me people tend to get better and then all of the sudden pick up pneumonia--eek! I'm drinking lots of orange juice, Powerade, and Vitamin Water. Sadly I don't have much of an appetite at the moment.

Yesterday afternoon we watched "Never Been Kissed" (1999) starring Drew Barrymore, Octavia Spencer, and Molly Shannon. I just *love* Drew! Teddy and Julez watched with me, while Bobo watched her own TV--I didn't want to miss a single moment of the movie.

Thursday, February 12, 2026:  Early this afternoon Julez changed into her adult form: she became a (ta-da!) ginjirotchi! I'm surprised I managed to get an adult at all since I've been so sick, but it sure is nice to see that smiling face. In other news, Bobo changed back into the character of Jumbo! I would love if he changed into one of the other characters shown in the instruction sheet. Though I find it strange that she changes from one character to another, unlike Tamagotchi where you raise one character per hatching.

Friday the 13th, February 2026, 9:13PM:  I'm still sick .::sigh::., but much better than I was. I'm going on nearly a week of this now.... Teddy is my only VP awake at the present time. I'm hoping to get a good sleep tonight and see what tomorrow brings....!

Monday, February 16, 2026:  I've been pausing Bobo and Julez quite a bit due to the fact that I am STILL sick with this dreaded cold/flu/whatever it is I have. :-( Ack! Teddy has been keeping me company in bed this afternoon, watching movies, TV, and web browsing. I've been napping a lot, but Teddy is such a patient little guy, and can go long hours without needing anything. This afternoon he got to watch the movie "That Old Feeling" (1997) while I was sleeping. This evening we are watching true-crime with Julez.

Thursday, February 19, 2026:  Bobo turned 20 years old today! She's grown up to be a mature young lady, going on dates, and doing all kinds of activities. Sadly I know she won't live past the age of 26. I've already decided I'm going to raise another Panda when this one passes away. I've only paused her when I need to take naps, which will tell you that yes, I'm still sick with this darn flu. :-P However, I have made some progress and even made it out for a short drive this morning.

We had a heavy snow storm on Tuesday that lasted into the early hours of this morning. My vpets monitored the snowfall with me over the last two days. I just wish I was well enough to go on a Jeep adventure. :-( I am so tired! I'll beat this flu......eventually. Two days ago we watched "Obsessed" (1992), a made for TV drama/thriller starring Shannen Doherty. We've also been listening to podcasts by Julez w/True crime reactions, Amber Vance, Casper West, and True Crime Design - all great creators with TONS of info on the Idaho4!

Teddy will be turning 90 years old tomorrow! It is amazing how far he has made it. He's watching TV with me before I go to bed.

Friday, February 20, 2026, 3:07PM:  Bobo fell ill last night requiring a pill...and then two different times this afternoon she got sick, again needing a pill each time to recover. I tried giving her an injection and using the ambulance, but she would only take the pill. I guess this is a sign that she is getting to be elderly.... She beeps frequently for attention, but often times doesn't really need anything.

Evening:  Bobo got sick AGAIN just shortly after 6PM! I'm beginning to worry she won't make it to age 26 like her predecessors....! I was finishing up my supper, and heard Bobo beep at me from across the room. I was shocked to see her sick for the third time today. :-( Once again she required a pill to make her better. Then at 7:00PM she got sick a fourth time. :-( I don't know what is going on.....but I'm keeping a close eye on her while we watch an episode of "Palm Royale". EEEEEEKK! On top of all this I accidentally let all of Julez's happy hearts run out to empty.

Sunday, February 22, 2026:  We are in the throws of *another* massive snow storm! I haven't experienced a winter this bad since January of 2020. I made the almost fatal mistake of driving up the street earlier in the Jeep....! :-o Lesson learned--will be staying inside where it is safe until tomorrow morning for my Dr.'s appointment. We've lost power three times this morning....and not sure what the afternoon/evening have in store. I am keeping cozy up in my game room, working on webpages, and writing.

Bobo has been doing a lot better since the last time I wrote! His thermostat was set too high, and the reason behind why he got sick so many times on Friday. I read in the instructions that the ideal temperature is between 13-19 degrees celcius, and she was well over 20 degrees! :-P Ooops! I will keep this in mind for my future Pandas. I'm glad I was able to save my little sweetie. She is 23 years old today! Teddy is 91 years old! I will have to keep track of his age on paper once he exceeds 99 years! I am still striving for the worlds longest living GigaPet. Who knows how long he will live for.....! Julez, my 17 year old ginjirotchi is very demanding and doesn't have long left....!

Tuesday, February 24, 2026, 2:13PM:  Julez was dropping hearts pretty rapidly over the last few days, and I'm surprised she hung on as long as she did since I was feeding her snacks for happiness. Just a few minutes ago, while cleaning up the kitchen from making spaghetti sauce, I looked down to see a little angel where my ginjirotchi once was... .::sniffle::.. you were a good girl, Julez! I hope you enjoyed your stay of 19 years here..... At least she got out for a drive this morning before she departed!

Bobo is still chugging along at the age of 25! Sadly, I know she will be departing tomorrow, and the ending is not pretty...! I have mixed feelings about posting the death screen on my Bobo Panda Byte webpage when it happens...but we will see what tomorrow brings. I have plans of raising another Panda ASAP! I want to complete the growth chart, and particularly want Clown Panda.

Teddy and Bobo got to watch three episodes of "Two Broke Girls" this evening. Cute show!

Wednesday, February 25, 2026:  A lot happened today! Bobo woke up as usual at 8AM, and I knew she only had less than an hour before she'd pass away. I watched the clock in anticipation at 8:59AM, when a series of beeps finally played, and my little Panda passed away before my very eyes. It was worse than I remember; the worst virtual pet death I've ever seen in fact. I took a photo for my webpage even though it was an incredibly sad sight to see. My poor little Panda, gone at just 26....!

At 9:16AM I hit the reset button as I just could not look at her anymore. I have a new baby Panda who I will re-name Bobo. I am going to take *extra* good care of this one, making sure she washes her face and takes a bath every day (unlike my previous ones). I will try and limit how much T.V. I let this one watch, and only pause her when I leave the apartment. I'm finally over my cold/flu so I'm hoping to get out and do more activities with Mom and Matthew! We've been making a list of things we want to do (movie theatre, museum, coffee shop, downtown shopping, etc..).

Teddy and Bobo got to watch the first half of the movie "Sliver" (1993) starring Sharon Stone, William Baldwin, and Tom Berenger. It's one of those movies you have to pay close attention to, so we've been taking breaks while watching it this evening.....! Very intriguing....! Now we are listening to a LIVE! on Julez with True Crime Reactions YouTube channel. She is fantastic and not holding back tonight!

Thursday, February 26, 2026:  Things are going well with my young Bobo Panda Byte! She turned 2 years old and changed into the second stage at 10:00AM this morning. This really is the *cutest* stage (to me). I've been diligent about properly disciplining her so that she takes at least one bath and washes her face each day. Perhaps she will have better luck with the boys when she is older....! My last Bobo didn't go on a *single* date! :-p Things are going to be different this time.

Saturday, February 28, 2026:  Binks' 7th birthday today! I can't believe it! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful cat. He is our baby...! On the keychain pet front, Teddy is quickly approaching 99 years. He is 97 today! I love the Komputer Koala so much. It will always be my favorite of all the GigaPets released. As for Bobo, I've been keeping a close eye on her, and sticking to the strict regime I have in place for her path to adulthood. I've noticed that she beeps less frequently this time around which is a bonus. They've gotten to listen to two more lives from Julez with True Crime with me, along with various other YouTube videos, and music, etc.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new month, and a new section of Ginji's Journal. Shawn and I have plans to raise our Mesutchi & Osutchi together. It has been *years* since I did a proper run of these wonderful Tams. I'm very excited to hatch them....!!

This afternoon Teddy and Bobo got to listen to various songs: "Both Sides Now" by Judy Collins, "Fields of Gold" by Sting, "Caribbean Blue" by Enya, "Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush, "Gillis Mountain" by The Rankin Family, and "I Saw Her Again" (Single Version) by the Mamas and the Papas. Then this evening, we finished the second half of the movie "Sliver", and it had quite an interesting ending. I have a list of other new (to me) movies I want to watch in March! Oh yes, I am not sure if I mentioned that I got back into playing "Stardew Valley" with my IRL friend Amy. We've been working on 'Kitty's Farm' together. Other than that I've not been gaming much at all. I'd much rather be working on my webpages, and getting out of the apartment for short periods each day. :-)
