November 2022
Part 18

Tuesday, November 1, 2022:  It's a new month and time for new goals and continuing on with my usual hobbies.  November 1 also marks the immediate shift from Halloween madness into Christmas chaos!!  I love this time of year!  I'm still hoping to take in some of the last of autumn before winter sets in....!

I'm still playing Animal Crossing: Wild World! I noticed that Halloween was not celebrated in this version yesterday.  I am still loving this game, though.  I may or may not take a break from it when I get back into playing Pokemon again.  I am not sure if I am ready for the brand new Pokemon game that is coming out on Nintendo Switch.  I haven't even gotten to the other versions in my 208-in-one DS game!

My Devilgotchi, Pumpkin Deviltchi is still alive and well at age 14.  I'm not sure how long he will stick around for but I am taking great care of him!  I am trying to decide what I want to run after Devil passes away.  I am very tempted to run my Yasashii Tamagotchi's again. :-) I have still yet to get the elusive "good" teen character.

8:57PM: Pumpkin Deviltchi is watching an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" volume 3 on Netflix.  I've been busy tinkering around on my pages.  I can't help but wonder if this website is just a huge copy-cat of all the other Tamagotchi and Virtual pet websites out there.... Am I just trying to keep alive a time in the 1990s that I wasn't even a part of? Feeling kinda down now. :-(

Wednesday, November 2, 2022:  I have Pumpkin Deviltchi on pause for the time being.  I am updating from over at Mom's house now, waiting for her to get home from work.  We are going to have dinner together and then head over to Laura and John's place!  I can't wait to see Donald and cousin Matthew. :-)  Mom and I are going to have ribs for dinner.  They smell delicious!!

Monday, November 7, 2022:  I am glad that I was extra careful with Pumpkin Deviltchi and paused him when I knew I couldn't be a good care-taker to him.  As a result, I was able to see and hear the full departure of him dying on November 4th.  First I heard a beep that I had never heard on the Devilgotchi before.  I thought at first that maybe it was resetting on me randomly?  When I looked at Pumpkin Deviltchi he was standing there looking really sad on the screen and shaking his little hand.  I pressed the A or B button and then a little curtain drew down the screen, making another beep I'd never heard before.  The final screen said "Good Friend" which means I treated him well and he left full and happy. :-) Bye-bye little Pumpkin Deviltchi! Maybe I'll see you again next year. :-)

I haven't been running anything since Devil's departure so this afternoon at 2:20 I hatched a little 2018 P1 Tam -- my purple/pink one! He is currently a little Babitchi.  I would love to try for the unhealthy teen again without killing him like I did last November.  For now I am taking very good care while in the Babitchi stage.

On the video game front, we've been playing a TON of Mario Party 64 on Nintendo Switch Online.  All kinds of amazing memories are coming back to me from the late 90's/early 2000's.  I will eventually get to Mario Party 2 but for now I am content playing the first game.  We get right into it and sometimes there may be a bit of yelling go on when we loose a lot of coins or a star, hehe!  I LOVEEE this game!

Later:  I now have a little Marutchi on my purple/pink Tam. :-) I am taking a bit of a risk and going to let the hearts fall to empty in hopes that I can get the unhealthy teenager and not pass away like my last one.  This is going to be difficult as I know from running 2018 Tams in the past that they die *very* easily.

Marutchi got to watch the beginning of "Killer Sally" on Netflix this evening before falling asleep an hour ago.  We are on the second episode now! Very binge-worthy!

Friday, November 11, 2022: Happy Remembrance Day to all those who fought for our freedom!! I live in Newfoundland so today is a holiday.  The Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial honours all Newfoundlanders who served during the First World War and those lost with no known grave.  I've been watching the memorial services on our local TV station this morning/afternoon.

I was overjoyed yesterday morning when my P1 Tamchanged into Kutchitamatchi! Yay! This is my second ever time getting the unhealthy teen on a remake version.  I am *praying* that I am able to keep the little one alive.  I've even give n him a name after my starter character in "Pokemon Platinum", Piplup!  Both Plipup and Kutchitamatchi have little beaks! :-) Please, please let me get an adult character!!! :-D

I began playing "Pokemon Platinum" first thing this morning after taking a couple months break from Pokemon games.  This is the next version in the order of releases! My starter Pokemon is a Piplup!  So far I've caught a Starly!  I've been doing other things in between playing the last few hours so I am only at 44 minutes played time.  It feels good to be playing another new Pokemon game!

10:19PM: Poor little Piplup Kutchitamatchi was sick two different times today but made it to bed at 9PM.  If I can just get her through the day tomorrow then I think she will make it to adulthood!  I've been playing more "Pokemon Platinum" this evening and I evolved two of my Pokemon so far: First I got a Prinpulp from my Piplup, and then a Staravia from a Starly!  I've also caught a Bidoof, Shinx, Kricketot and a Zubat.  Matt has some kind of scary movie on now.  I am going to continue playing Pokemon until I'm tired enough to go to sleep!  I need to be up at 9AM tomorrow for my little Kutchitamatchi. :-)

Saturday, November 12, 2022: I have very good news!  Piplup Kutchitamatchi changed into a Nyrotchi shortly after 9AM this morning!  I finally did it!! Yay!  I am sooo happy and Nyrotchi is such a cute little character.  The poor thing has already been sick twice today and took 3 inoculations to get better.  I wonder how long Nyrotchi will live on a remake Tam....!  On the 1997 versions Nyrotchi never lived longer than a day or two.  Only time will tell.

Piplup got to watch the last 3 episodes of "Uncoupled" this morning on Netflix. :-) Such a great show and I hope it will renew for a second season!  She also got to watch along for two rounds of "Mario Party", and some battles in "Pokemon Platinum".  She also came along with us in the car to Game Exchange to price a used Nintendo Wii system.  Very eventful day!

Sunday, November 13, 2022:  I didn't get around to updating on what happened to my poor Nyrotchi last night because I was so disappointed.  Nyrotchi passed away last night at the young age of 6.  I was out of the room when it happened but I know the little sweetie died full and happy.  I can't believe the poor thing never even made it through one full day....!  Either way, I am happy I got an unhealthy adult and I will be running another remake very soon. :-) I just have to decide if I want to restart my purple & pink one or choose another colour!

I haven't had time to restart a new Tam just yet because I was taking part in some really nice family gatherings all afternoon, and tomorrow morning Donald is coming over for the day.  We are going to play Pokemon Silver I believe!

Tuesday, November 15, 2022:  I hatched a new Tam this morning at 8:52AM!  I haven't thought up a name for this one yet, but s/he is a Marutchi with 75% discipline.  I am once again aiming for the unhealthy teenager, Kutchitamatchi.  It is so hard neglecting that sweet little Marutchi! :-( The Tam is residing in my purple/pink case.

Today I am struggling with depression and anxiety... I don't know if I will take a nap or not to see if I wake up feeling better.  I tried playing some Animal Crossing but wasn't able to do much with it.  I try not to talk about sad stuff here but sometimes I just need to let it be known that I am not doing great.  It's also a comfort that not many people know about this website so I can write pretty much what I want without having to feel like it will come back on me in a negative way.

Currently feeling a little better. :-) I did take a nap and it helped a lot! I let the hearts fall twice with little Marutchi and s/he will be going to bed soon.  Oh yes, he told me his name is Plipup the second. :-)  After he goes to sleep we are going to have a round of Mario Party!  Just one more star and we will have 100!

Monday, November 21, 2022:  I didn't say much about little Piplup the 2nd in hir lifetime..!  I got the 'healthy' teen Tamatchi this go around and then got Nyrotchi for my adult character again.  This time s/he lived to be 7 years old and was able to have one night here!  I think this is because it came from a healthy Tamatchi instead of Kutchitamatchi.  I am so sad that the Nyrotchi's never live long.  Shawn pointed out that the only real time you can get with a Nyrotchi is on a Tamagotchi Connection V2 and he is definitely right.  Oh well, little Piplup got to watch us playing a ton of "Mario Party" and s/he even got to watch us beat the game last night!! After days of trying I was finally able to figure out how to unlock Bowsers Magma Castle and the Eternal Star boards.  After winning Bowsers Magma Castle, all of my stars were taken away and I had to get them back by playing the Eternal Star board.  After that I got to see the final game sequence and the end credits for the first time ever. :-) So much fun!!

Other stuff that Piplup got to do:  watched lots of TV, ran errands in the car, grocery shopping, cleaning the apartment, listened to music, watched me chasing Binks around for kisses, and of course lots of gaming.  I will be hatching another Tam sooooon!

Right now I am trying to save up enough coins in Mario Party so that I can buy every single mini game!  After that I can say that I fully "unlocked" the game!

5:53PM:  I just hatched a new Tamagotchi at 5:46PM!  This one is a 2018 USA Gen2/P2.  It's a lovely white and green shell with painted cartoon images. :-)  The numbers game is so much easier to win than the which way game!  I am hoping to get anything below a Zukitchi for my adult character.  Whoever I get is going to be watching a lot of "Mario Party" and will likely even get to see playing of "Mario Party 2"!!

Thursday, November 24, 2022:  I am so happy to announce that I got the unhealthy teen, Hashitamatchi after nearly 5 years of running the remake Tams!  I did three care mistakes in the Tonmarutchi stage and disciplined to 50%.  Now I am going to take perfect care and catch all disciplines.  I'm hoping that I get Hashizotchi for my adult character. :-)

So far I have my Hashitamatchi up to 75% discipline and hoping to catch more in the coming days!  Please let this little guy live to adulthood!!

Friday, November 25, 2022:  I still have my little Hashitamatchi here with me!  He has passed the point of 100% discipline and is now at 125% I believe.  I haven't let the hearts drop at all since he entered this stage and he has not gotten sick once. ::knock on virtual wood::.  I am praying for a Hashizotchi adult form, but I will take anything I can get at this point. :-)

We are really getting into Christmas here and last night we even put up our little tree!  We've had our Christmas lights up now for a couple of weeks.  I know for sure I am getting 3 new Tamagotchi (P1/P2 remakes) from Matt for Christmas and I can't wait. :-) Love this time of year!

Last night I started playing "Mario Party 2" since I've pretty much beaten the first one.  I still need to collect enough money to buy all 50 mini games but other than that I've pretty much mastered the game!  The second game is a lot of fun but I am still getting used to all the new features.  Games 3 & 4 will be coming out on N64 online in 2023!   I am seriously thinking about buying the newest Mario Party for Nintendo Switch.... Lots to do!!

Saturday, November 26, 2022:  I woke up to a great surprise this morning!  I came downstairs and picked up my Tam from the coffee table to see he had changed into a Hashizotchi!  I am sooooo happy!  I will definitely be running more remake Tams now!  I can't wait to get all the adults.

Here is how I got Hashizotchi:  As a Tonmarutchi, I did three care mistakes and disciplined to 50%.  Once he changed into a Hashitamatchi I took perfect care, never letting the hearts fall and I caught all disciplines up to 150%.

I will be interested to see how long this one lives!  Today he is 6 years old, 20lbs and has full discipline on the meter.  I am not sure if he will call for any extra discipline...!

Sunday, November 27, 2022:  Having a Hashizotchi in my care has been delightful! (click image to see bigger)  He is no trouble at all and not demanding.  I find myself checking on him all day long and he never needs any food or play! :-)  I am trying to take extra good care of him so that he will live as long as possible.  We shall see how long he sticks around for.

He's been getting to watch along to lots of levels of "Mario Party 2" this evening.  It's fun, but much harder than the first one.  There's also a ton more mini games than there was in the first one so I have a lot of practicing to do!  We are currently doing an online match with my friend Maria.  Matthew and I are passing the remote back and forth since the two of us can't play an online session.  Little Hashi is getting to enjoy all this. :-)

I have a Christmas scented candle lit and Matthew is playing Christmas tunes now!!  I love this time of year!

Monday, November 28, 2022:  Tomorrow I'm starting at the office where my Mom works.  I am going to test the waters and see if I can bring my Tam with me -- if he is even still around tomorrow.  He got sick this evening and that is usually a sign of them passing on soon!  He is still very easy to care for, though!  Once I get the hang of the job, I think it will be just fine to have my virtual pets with me as it is a one person kinda job. :-)  The hours are also even less than part time (about 10 hours a week) so I will have LOTS of time for video games and other fun stuff!
