December 2022
Part 19

Thursday, December 1, 2022, 7:47PM:  It's  again!  I am really beginning to feel Christmas in the air now.  We've been decorated since the middle of November but you can feel everywhere now!  Even our apartment building lobby is decorated! :-)  Last night at 7:35PM I hatched a yellow & orange Japanese P2 remake!  I am using the same care mistakes that I did with my last Tam and hoping for Hashizotchi again.  If I get him then I will know a set method of how to do it.  I just wish they lived longer....!  Right now my Tonmarutchi has full hearts and 50% discipline.  I am taking good care of him now that I got those 3 care mistakes out of the way.  It is so hard taking bad care of them!  He got to watch us play a TON of "Mario Party" (games 1 & 2) today.  As for TV watching he has only seen the morning news so far.  He will be going to bed shortly, but he will get to come into work with me tomorrow afternoon!

Monday, December 5, 2022:  I haven't said much about my little P2 during his lifetime and that is because things have been kind of uneventful around here the last couple of days.  I did get the unhealthy teen Hashitamatchi again this time, and this morning he changed into his adult form to be none other than a sweet little Kusatchi. :-) I had been aiming for another Hashizotchi but I knew I would be happy with whoever I got.  He came along with me to a family dinner last night and got to pop out a couple of times for feeding and games.  Tonight he drove with us in the car to get pizza and saw Christmas lights along the way!

Tuesday, December 6, 2022:  My poor little Kusatchi passed away at the young age of 7 today at 11:41AM.  I knew he wouldn't make it too far but he definitely lived a couple of extra hours more than my two Nyrotchi I had a couple of weeks back.  I am deciding which Tam I want to raise next now.... I've been thinking it over during a few rounds of 100CC "Mario Kart" for Nintendo 64. :-) What a blast from the past!  I've been playing nothing but N64 games now for the last week or more and absolutely loving it.  Yesterday he got to watch me beat "Mario Party 2"!  Almost seemed easier to beat than the first one for some reason, but Shawn told me I still have some stuff I need to unlock to fully beat the game. :-)

Stuff that little Kusatchi got to watch in his 7 days here: "The Santa Clarita Diet", "Xanax: Take your Pills" (Netflix documentary), and "Jeffrey Epstien: Filthy Rich" (another Netflix doc) which was extremely disturbing and scary, but I am glad I finally know who he is!  What a monster!

I will come back later or tomorrow when I decide which Tam I want to hatch next! :-) I have even been thinking about a Yasashii Tam.... But that may be hard for me to bring to work with me, hehe!

Update 9:01PM:  I hatched another Tam on my yellow/orange trim P2 that just died.  I hit reset at 4:46PM.  I have already done one care mistake and need to do two more tomorrow while I'm at work.  AND I started a new video game that I have never played before on Nintendo Switch 64 Online.  It's called "Banjo Kazooie" and it is from the same makers of the "Donkey Kong Country" games in the same decade. :-)  Fun game so far!!  I will write more tomorrow about it after work.

Friday, December 9, 2022:  I managed to get the unhealthy teen, Hashitamatchi once again!  This is my third time getting the unhealthy teen on the P2 remake.  I am taking the best care that I possibly can of him now that he is in the teen stage!  There's something really fun about not knowing what character I am going to get.  It is equivalent of the mystery that I felt with my 1990s versions. :-)  I had Little Hashi with me at work today! Very productive day. :-) On the way home we saw a lot of Christmas lights.

Saturday, December 17, 2022:  My little P2 Tam has come and gone since the last time I wrote here.  The week got away from me completely and I wasn't able to come back and update about Hashitamatchi's progress.  Well, I ended up with a Kusatchi again which was alright.  He never stayed around past the age of 7 and passed away while I was working on Tuesday.  I never got around to hatching another virtual pet until last night during Matt's birthday celebrations. :-)

Last night I hatched a Yasashii Tam! (my blue one)  I haven't ran the Yasashii in nearly a full year now.  In fact it was last Christmas that I was raising the Yasashii.  I am still on a mission to get that healthy teen character.  Right now my little Hoppetchi is full and happy, but I slept in until 11:30AM this morning and he was without food ALL that time.  I am definitely not off to a very good start, but we will see what happens. :-)  I am going to bring my big Tam out with me in the car shortly to run errands!

I ended up leaving Yasashii at home during my errands since I knew I wouldn't be gone long.  I have a really nice setup in the bedroom now with a computer desk where I do my blogging.  I am going to post a picture soon, including the Christmas lights in the window.

I had considered going to Game Exchange today to inquire about the price of a used WII system, as well as buying the newest Pokemon Game for Switch (Scarlet/Violet), but the cold/dark weather has been keeping me indoors for the most part.  I really do love the fall and winter months -- perfect excuse to curl up at home and enjoy video games and virtual pets. :-)

Thursday, December 22, 2022:  My little Yasashii has been involved in the holiday experience!  I haven't wrote much about this one during his lifespan because nothing new has happened.  I once again ended up with the unhealthy teen (no surprise there) but tonight he changed into his adult form to be a ::drum-roll::. Jr. Ginjirotchi!  What better character could you ever ask for?  And on Christmas! :-D  He's gotten to watch several Christmas movies.  We all watched "Spirited" for the first time the other evening!  We also tried watching another new Christmas movie called "Falling for Christmas" but we didn't make it even 10 minutes into it before we turned it off.  Tonight we will watch "Miracle on 34th Street" (1994 version), but I would like to watch the original one as well.

Yesterday I bought "Pokemon Violet" for Nintendo switch!  I have been *really* enjoying it so far.  The graphics are amazing!  I don't know what people were complaining about?  Perhaps those glitches were fixed since I've purchased it.  Shawn will be getting his copy on December 25th so I am trying not to go too far ahead.  I've gotten one badge so far!  I cannot wait to play in the Union Circle with Shawn!

Sunday, December 25, 2022:  My little Jr. Ginjirotchi is still around on the Yasashii Tamagotchi. :-) He is 11 years old on this Christmas Day and fear that he may not make it through the entire day.  I am keeping a close watch on him while we spend the day at my Mom's house. :-). We are having a wonderful Christmas so far!

Last night Jr. Ginji got to watch several Christmas movies: "Jingle All The Way", "Home Alone 2", "A Miracle on 34th Street" (1947 version), and then he slept through "Just Friends" which is a must see for us at Christmas.

I got 3 brand new Tams from Matthew for Christmas this year.  I will eventually get around to posting pictures.  I got two P1 Tams and one P2.  The P2 is definitely my favourite design of the three of them!!!

Monday, December 26, 2022:  Jr. Ginjirotchi survived the entire Christmas Day and is still here with us now at age 12.  I am very happy that he has made it this far!  I am unsure if I am going to run another Yasashii after this one passes.  Seems no matter how hard I try, I can't get that healthy teen...!  I don't know if I will ever crack the case on this one.  Either way, it is still a really fun Tam and I always enjoy running it. :-)

Been playing lots of "Pokemon Violet" on Nintendo Switch.  What a great game!  I think this will keep me occupied for a while.  Matthew and I pretty much completed both Mario Party games and we ordered "Mario Party Superstars" for Nintendo Switch on Christmas Eve.  It will get here on January 13. :-) Can't wait!

I am not sure what our plans are for the week, but it has been a very relaxed Christmas so far.  I just plan to finish 2022 with lots of video gaming, and I think Mom and I will be going into the office a couple of times this week to continue the filing purge.  I will update more later!  Back to Pokemon for now.

Later:  Well I decided to hatch one of my new Tams that I got from Matthew for Christmas so I picked the pink/blue "Ice Cream" P1. :-)  I have a peaceful sleeping little Marutchi now since it's after 8PM.  THEN while playing Pokemon Scarlet with Shawn,  Jr. Ginji decided it was finally time to go.  He cried quite a bit first but then finally took off in his little space ship.  I *accidentally* started another Yasashii when I was messing with Jr. Ginji's final stats.  Oh well, I had planned on hatching another one anyway! :-)

Tuesday, December 27, 2022:  Things seem to be off to a good start with my two newly hatched Tams (P1 and Yasashii).  I forgot to mention last night that I am neglecting the P1 in hope I'll get Kutchitamatchi teen.  As for my Yasashii, I've been taking good care of Hoppetchi even though it seems completely hopeless that I will ever get the good teen.  Here I am working so hard to neglect the P1/P2 Tams and then in total frustration over not being able to take good enough care of the Yasashii.  I need things to balance out. :-)

The Tams came for three different drives in the car today!  First they came with me to GameStop to look for a new pair of Nintendo Switch joy cons.  The guy working there told me that they are completely sold out at the moment and joy cons are extremely hard to come by lately.  Then we went on a quick trip to the grocery store.  Binks was in dire need of wet food so I had to go then.  Later this afternoon I took them for another drive in the car, this time just to get out and listen to music and drive through Middle Cove -- my favorite drive!

Saturday, December 31, 2022:  Things are continuing to go well!  I haven't said much about my two Tams during their lifetime so far.  I got unhealthy teenagers on both the P1 and Yasashii, and today the P1 changed into his final form to be a Kutchipatchi. :-) Sooo happy! This is my first time getting the Kutchipatchi on the P1 remake.  Yes yes yes!  Great way to end 2022 for sure!  I expect a change into adulthood very soon for the Yasashii but I kinda laxed in my caretaking for him after he became Mayumarutchi...

Been playing lots of "Pokemon Violet" and we should be expecting the arrival of "Mario Party Superstars" any day now!!!  Matthew bought a switch game called "Stranded Deep".  It is definitely not my cup of tea, but when he plays that I play "Pokemon Platinum" on the Nintendo DS.  I got my first badge on that one yesterday! :-) Lots to do!
