Part 50
Saturday, August 1, 2026: It's On the Digimon front, my brown/black Digimon changed into a Devimon (also known as Darkmon) upon waking up this morning. Then, my gray/brown Digimon changed into the healthy teen, Agumon. I've been battling the two of them, but with a lot more caution than before. I give them vitamins and play games in between battles so they don't get sick and die. We've had an extremely cool, rainy summer so far, and I'm not complaining at all. Normally, I would have the air conditioner running almost every moment of the day, but I can't remember the last time I turned it on. It's been perfect sleeping weather. We're also very fortunate not to be dealing with the Newfoundland wildfire situation we experienced last summer. This evening, I've been updating my webpages and Sunday, August 2, 2026, 4:17PM: This afternoon, at exactly 1:06PM, my 25-year-old Mimitchi passed away. I had been tending to him hand and foot for days, as they always end up this way near the end of their lifespan. I'm happy to have a Mimitchi on my tiger-striped Tam, at least! I decided to restart my camouflage Tam shortly before 2:00PM and am going to try for one of the unhealthier characters, like Takotchi or Kusatchi. I'm also dedicating a lot of time to my newest Tamagotchi, my blue one with pink trim and yellow buttons, in hopes of raising another Ginjirotchi. My current Ginjirotchi on my clear blue Tam is now 19 years old and becoming very demanding. This evening, we had pizza for dinner with Mom and Eileen! It was delicious, and we even have leftovers for tomorrow. It had been so long since I'd had pizza, so it was a wonderful treat! I've continued pausing my Tams on and off throughout the afternoon and evening. I still can't believe I'm actually running this many. :-P Monday, August 3, 2026: Well, today I paused all of my Tams except for the two Digimon, as those can't be paused, and visited with my cousins over at the rental office. I also spent time with my Mom today, which was lovely, but it was long overdue that I saw my cousin Laura and Frankie. I am so happy I got to see them. I was out from 11AM to 3PM, and I've resumed the time on all Tams now that I'm back home. I'm very pleased with how today went, considering I've been feeling so awful lately. It was well worth pushing myself out of my comfort zone and spending time with family. :-) As of 10:14PM, all of my adult Tams and Digimon are asleep, but my two teen Tams were still awake when, all of a sudden, my blue/silver drawings Gen2 changed into a Hashizotchi! Now I have a second one. Yay! My blue Gen1 with pink trim and yellow buttons also just called for discipline, but I'm ignoring it because I'm hoping for a Ginjirotchi. Once that Gen1 changes, along with my newly hatched camouflage Tam, I'll have all adult Tamas, and my mission will be complete. Then all that's left to do is see them into their old age. Alright, as of 11:01 PM, all of my Tams are tucked into their futons, fast asleep, and I'm still awake. I might play some "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" and listen to some of Julez's latest videos before calling it a night. Tuesday, August 4, 2026: Early this afternoon, while I was on my way to Foodland, I pulled over at one of my favorite places to check on my Tams and discovered that my camouflage Gen2 had somehow reset itself. I was a bit bummed out, but at the same time, I still have 11 other virtual pets to care for, so I wasn't too upset. Well, when I got home, I decided to take the batteries out of that camouflage Tam, only to discover corrosion and battery leakage--the batteries had exploded! EEEK! I'm lucky I caught it when I did, or my camouflage Tam might have bitten the bullet for good....! Later this afternoon, my gray/brown Digimon changed into the healthiest adult, Greymon! I've been battling him against my Darkmon a little bit, but sadly he's still losing most of the time....! I'm not sure why, considering he's the healthier character. As of this evening, their victory percentages are as follows: Greymon: 28%, Darkmon: 62%. I would love if one or both of them changed into Metal Greymon, the secret character. :-) This evening, while updating my webpages and listening to one of Julez's live streams as it happened, my blue Gen1 with pink trim and yellow buttons changed into a Ginjirotchi! Yay! I'm so happy to have another one, as the Ginjirotchi on my clear blue Tam is now 21 years old and very close to passing away. So now I have all adult characters across all 11 of my virtual pets! I'm so happy about this, but I'm also looking forward to gradually downsizing my group as the month progresses. I have several elderly Tams that will almost certainly pass away by the end of this week and into early next week. I'll probably just hatch a Gen1 and a Gen2 in September so I can have a Ginjirotchi and a Mimitchi, and maybe a DigiMon or two. :-) For now, here is a picture of the 11 Tams all together in adulthood! This was the best photo I was able to get of them all. I take *much* better photos of individual Tams, up close, and focused. Wednesday, August 5, 2026: Today was a holiday where I live--Regatta Day! Aside from a lot of demanding Tams, not much happened, as I never ventured out of the apartment at all. I'm finding it a little more difficult to keep up with the demands of all these Tams, and I'll be happy to be raising a smaller group by mid-August. But I'm not giving up on my virtual creatures--I will see every one of them through their digital lives! :-) Perhaps tomorrow I'll pause a few of them and head out for a little while. I'd really like to get out of the apartment if I can.....! This evening, I'm winding down by watching Angenette Levy on Law & Crime. She's one of the few mainstream media personalities I actually enjoy. Thursday, August 6, 2026: I have to confess that I've really reached my limit with the oldest Tams in my group, what with their constant beeping for food and happiness. One thing I've noticed is that the re-release Tams never became this demanding later in life. However, with my current clan of original 1997 Tams, I'm able to feed them snacks to refill their happy hearts, which isn't something I can do on the re-releases. So, there are pros and cons to both. Either way, whether they're originals or re-releases, I definitely won't be raising another large group of Tams for a very long time. There are simply too many other things I'd like to spend my time doing besides just Tamagotchi. I also miss the more individualized experience of raising just one or two virtual pets at a time. This morning, at 9:40AM, I was battling my two Digimon when, all of a sudden, I heard the dreaded death beeps coming from my Darkmon (brown/black)--he'd been killed in battle, a repeat occurrence. I reluctantly restarted that Digimon so my Greymon (gray/brown) would have someone to battle with. I kind of regret restarting him now.... Oh well. Well, I had the sound muted on several of my Tams, and when I went to check on them shortly after 7:00PM, I realized my Pochitchi (white/green/red) had passed away with the attention icon still lit. He made it to 20 years old, which is a good lifespan for that character, but I still feel bad. :-P Poor little Pochitchi! I hope to get him again someday. He was a very sweet little guy, and not a character I get very often on my Gen2 Tams. Then, at 9:10PM, while watching Julez tear a troll a new one (LOL), my Masukutchi (clear purple) passed away at only 18 years of age. At least I got to see him off, and he left me an egg, which means I took good care of him! So many Tams, so many deaths....! Friday, August 7, 2026: Well, this morning, just shortly after 10:07AM, Kutchipatchi (pink/green/blue Tam) passed away at 16 years of age. I was out of the room at the time, making coffee and taking care of Binks. Poor Kuchi! At least he left me full and happy. I continued with my morning routine of drinking coffee and updating my webpages, when at 10:28AM, my Hashizotchi (white/pink/yellow swirls Tam) passed away at 16 years of age as well. He was hatched at the same time as my pink/green Tam, yet somehow managed to live 20 minutes longer......! I have remained at home since Tuesday, and I'm trying to make the best of it, even though I'd really like to be getting out for drives, going to the mall, grabbing coffee, and doing some of the other things I enjoy. I'm trying to keep looking on the brighter side of things. There is so much to be thankful for, and I've been thinking about making a list of the good things in my life and compiling them into a webpage, much like Country Mouse did. Gratitude is something we talk about a lot in counseling, and I think taking the time to consciously recognize the good things in my life could be a really worthwhile project. This afternonn, at 2:09PM, my Ginjirotchi (clear blue) passed away at the old age of 24. He had a good, long life, and thanks to pausing him from time to time, we were able to spend even more time together. The poor thing had been beeping at me constantly with empty hearts over the last couple of days. I'm glad I have a younger Ginji on my blue/pink/yellow buttons Tam, or this might have been a little harder. I've always had a special fondness for Ginji, and he's my favorite character alongside Mimitchi! I am now down to a much more comfortable number of six Tamagotchis to care for: Mimitchi (tiger stripe Gen2), Ginjirotchi (blue/pink/yellow Gen1), Hashizotchi (blue/silver drawings Gen2), Futagotenshi (yellow Angel), Greymon (gray/brown Digi), and Koromon (brown/black Digi). I don't want to raise another group this large again for a very long time, if ever at all! My Angel Twins, Futagotenshi, are the most demanding Tams in the group now, but the pause function will come in handy whenever I need a break--especially if I end up with a long-lived secret character. :-) This evening, Matthew and I have been listening to podcasts by Mr. Ballen, someone we used to watch quite a bit on YouTube back in 2021! I'm happy to be sharing this time with Mimitchi and Ginji, along with my four other Tams. Later on, I'm going to watch tonight's episode of Nancy Grace. :-P So, as per usual, we're getting in all of our mainstream media trash talk. :-) We've also been watching the 1970s hit show "All in the Family"--a program we can still learn from in this day and age. Saturday, August 8, 2026: I've become completely frustrated with my two Digimon. Late this morning, while I was battling my two Digimon, my 8-year-old Greymon (gray/brown) died in battle against Betamon, the unhealthy teen on my brown/black Digimon. I tried, oh how I tried, to go for a small drive today, but I only made it about five minutes away from home before I had to turn around and come back. I've been feeling pretty low, but I'm going to try to enjoy my evening now! Matthew is playing with Binks, who is in a very playful mood, and we'll likely get Winnie in her hamster ball once she wakes up. Hopefully, a quiet evening with everyone will help lift my spirits a little. :-) At 5:53 PM, Hashizotchi (blue/silver) passed away at 12 years old, which is a very normal lifespan for that character. So now I'm down to five Tams... Very different from running 12 at once! This evening, I've been listening to a deep-dive YouTube video by Amber Vance, who, like Julez with True Crime Reactions, has a vast knowledge of the Idaho Four case. I've been taking care of my Tamas and absorbing all the knowledge. Oh yes, we've also been watching abandoned-house videos on YouTube! So cool! Sunday, August 9, 2026, 10:09AM: Just made coffee! I am still stuck in this slump of being unable to wake up until 10:00 in the morning. My virtual pets are no worse for the wear because of it, but I am really struggling with this. I've tried everything within my limits, but I just cannot seem to get myself out of bed before 10:00, and it's really been getting me down. Don't get me wrong, I love being here at home, but I really miss my early mornings out--driving around, picking up what I need at Foodland, going to the mall, shopping at other stores, and simply being out and about. I really am struggling right now, and I've even wondered to myself, "What's the point in writing about it anymore?" But maybe this is exactly the kind of thing I should write about. Not every day has to be exciting or productive, and perhaps someday I'll look back on this period and realize that I was doing better than I thought I was. For now, I'm just taking things one day at a time. This afternoon, I did something I normally don't do: I took a nap. I paused my demanding Twin Angels, but left the others running alongside me while I slept. When I woke up, Mimitchi and Ginji were both sick with their first illnesses, signaling the beginning of their older age at 14 and 11 years old, respectively. I'll make the most of the time they have left! This evening, I'm diligently taking care of my 20-year-old Futagotenshi Twin Angels, as well as Mimitchi and Ginji, while listening to True Crime Cafe with Dago. We also watched several cooking videos by Lidia Bastianich. A nice evening spent with my virtual critters and some good entertainment! :-) Monday, August 10, 2026, 6:55PM: Today started off rather slow, uneventful, and, to be blunt, depressing. But things turned around after I ate dinner around 5:00PM, and I managed to take a small drive through the neighborhood before dropping the car off at the garage, with help from Mom and Eileen. I'm really happy with how today turned out. Now I can enjoy my evening knowing that I challenged myself today and took a small step outside my comfort zone. :-) Virtual-pet-wise, I've been focusing most of my attention on my two Digimon, who are both the unhealthy teen, Betamon. I think I've completed the requirements on both devices to get the characters I'm hoping for. I used to think Digimon was rather boring and basic back when I was in my teens and twenties, but I've learned recently that they're programmed with a lot more complexity than I ever realized. I'm expecting my brown Digimon to change into its adult form at any time now.....! Once they change into adults, I am going to work on bringing their weight *down*! Mimitchi, Ginjirotchi, and my Twin Angels are doing fine, though the twins are very demanding at their old age of 21. Once I'm back to raising individual Tams and virtual pets, I'll get back into naming them again. That said, I've really been enjoying this current group of five that I'm running.....! Hehehehe....! Well, at 8:57PM, I decided to hatch my 1997 Pink USA Angel Tamagotchi. Don't worry, I'm not going to hatch 12 again. :-P I was going through my collection and simply couldn't resist how lovely that Angel looked! I'm taking care of her, along with my five other Tams, while listening to Julez's latest live stream. It really feels like "the old days" again, when I'd raise big groups of Tamagotchis at once back in my teens and twenties.
Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 6:46PM: Today has been a pretty good day! I had counseling this morning, which went really nicely, and when I came out and checked on my Tams, my brown/black Digimon had changed into its adult form--a Seadramon, a very cute, dragon-like character! This is the character I was hoping for, thanks to the caretaking tips from Humulos. :-) Hopefully, my gray/brown Digimon will also make it to a healthy adulthood! My Tams got to take a small walk around the grounds with me this afternoon, and we found this beautiful spot. I'm *really* glad I gave myself a push to go on a little stroll. It was worth it! We started watching Season 1 of "Mama's Family" (1982) last night, and I laughed so much! When Carol Burnett appeared in the second episode, I couldn't stop laughing. :-) I think we've struck gold with a new show! Early this evening, we watched last night's YouTube collaboration live featuring Julez, Bronx Tails, and The Last 24. This trio is amazing, and they really know their stuff when it comes to the Idaho Four case! Later this evening, I ended up working on updating my webpages and character histories, while also chatting with friends both IRL and online. I also browsed YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram for more Tamagotchi and virtual-pet content. A pretty relaxing way to spend the rest of the evening!
Wednesday, August 12, 2026, 3:22PM: My Tams were excellent company while I did my laundry, including folding everything and putting it all away. Binks helped too, by sitting on the warm, clean T-shirts--his absolute favorite thing to do. The weather has been more humid today, so I've had the air conditioner going quite a bit.
The only thing to report today is that my Pink Angel Tam got the unhealthy teen, Takoten, who then changed into the adult "Chubby Angel"! As for my twin Angels, I won't lie when I say there have been moments where I've nearly "gone batty", with their constant need for food, games, praise, tapping them back from walks. I've been turning the sound off *a lot*, hehe. Well, I've reached the part of the day I enjoy the most--my evening, when I can browse YouTube, surf the web, update my webpages, and catch up with my online friends! I'm glad to have Mimitchi and Ginji here with me. They are so easy to care for compared to my Twin Angels, hehe! 10:16PM: I am throwing caution to the wind and staying up late! I won't be able to see my doctor until early September, so I guess I'm just going to have to ride the wave of sleeping in for now..... I'm fortunate enough to be able to keep these weird hours, but I still don't particularly enjoy it. Hopefully, I'll be able to get back to my usual routine eventually. I'm keeping Mimitchi and Ginjirotchi awake past their bedtime. Thursday, August 13, 2026, 4:31PM: Today has been a particularly bad day, after trying to drive and get groceries on my own. I had a panic attack, and it took two hours before I was finally able to make it home because I had to pull over multiple times and take alternate, safer routes. :-( It took hours for me to calm down afterward, and even now, I still can't quite shake how awful the experience was. This has been happening a lot over the past few months, and I really need a break. For now, I've handed the keys to the Jeep over to my family. I think it's time to take some of the pressure off myself and give myself a chance to regroup. I can always try again when I'm ready. The only thing that happened virtual-pet-wise today was that, when I woke up this morning, I saw that my gray/brown Digimon had changed into the adult character Airdramon, another dragon-looking guy! Very cute! This evening, I've been battling a headache, which has made it difficult to enjoy my usual evening of virtual-pet caretaking, video games, true crime, YouTube, and all the other little things I normally enjoy. Hopefully, it will ease up soon so I can get back to enjoying my evening. 10:13PM: Now that I've had some time to fully calm down, I'm feeling a lot better about handing the keys to the car over to my family. It's the best decision I could possibly make for myself and everyone else on the roads. It's just one of the many bumps in the road when it comes to mental health and medications. Friday, August 14, 2026, 1:11PM: Something very interesting to note about my 25-year-old Twin Angels is that they can apparently endure hours without care and still not pass away. I'm not neglecting them on purpose, but I've been unwell to the point where all of my Tams have been beeping at me with empty hearts. I eventually muted the sound on the twins because they were beeping every three minutes, and I simply can't keep up with it right now. Despite all of that, they're still going strong, and I'm caring for them as best I can. I've only paused them for about 5-6 hours total throughout their lives, so their age is still very accurate. These little Angels are certainly proving to be resilient! I know I've been writing a lot of doom and gloom here lately, but It's really raining here today, but I don't mind at all, especially considering how much of Canada is suffering from wildfires and drought. I feel very blessed to have the rain right now, and it's warm out, too! I love listening to the sound of rain at night when the traffic dies down. 7:31PM: Well, I'm feeling a lot better now thanks to a dose of diazepam. 9:10PM: Well, just shortly before 9PM, I heard a changing tune coming from my Pink Tamagotchi Angel, and my Pukuten changed into the Futagotenshi Twins! That means I now have two sets of Angel Twins, just 20 days apart from one another! Thankfully, they're hearty little Tams, or this might have come as rather overwhelming news. I wish I could get Mimitchi and Ginjirotchi to live *this* long, heh. In other thoughts, I've been battling my two Digimon, Seadramon and Airdramon, and so far, there have been no fatalities! Seadramon currently has a 48% victory rate, while Airdramon is at 21%. I'm being a lot more cautious with them this time around! Earlier this evening, we listened to a very intriguing one of Julez's YouTube lives, and I was able to update my webpages at the same time. As of 10:09PM, Mimitchi and Ginji are the only ones awake. I've set their clocks a couple of hours behind, which keeps them more in line with my own sleep schedule right now. Saturday, August 15, 2026, 10:02AM: Gosh, I am tired today, but I managed to wake up before 10AM at least! I'm having my coffee and caring for my Tams while deciding whether I'd like to go out for a little while. I could get Mom to accompany me on a drive, but I definitely won't be going by myself. We'll see.....! Nothing to report so far, virtual-pet-wise. For now, I shall be content here at I've not really been gaming much at all lately, aside from maybe a half-hour or so of "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" each day, if that. I plan on getting back into games like Pokemon and Zelda in the fall. Oh yes, and my friend Amy wants us to pick up where we left off in our co-op file in "Stardew Valley". I'm looking forward to getting back into some of my favorite games when I have the energy for them again. 4:44PM: Well, I had a really nice visit with my Mom earlier this afternoon, and I also took a small walk around the building courtyard. I brought my Tams along with me and cared for them along the way. It was a very peaceful afternoon, and I'm really glad I got out for a little while. Mimitchi and Ginjirotchi are getting to be at their most demanding now, and I know my time with them is limited. I'd say that within the next 2-3 days, they will both be departing back to their home planet! I would like to raise another Gen1 and Gen2 after they leave, just so I can have them back again. They will forever be my favorites! When it comes to 1997 Tams, I have plenty of different shell designs to choose from when the time comes. This evening, I played "Stardew Valley" via co-op with my friend Amy! It's so funny how I mentioned it just earlier today. :-D It was wonderful revisiting our farm together. I've also been listening to "The Verdict Room Unfiltered", featuring Dago, BronxTails, and The Last 24. A pretty enjoyable evening of gaming and listening! I've kept Mimitchi and Ginji propped up on my chest all evening. Sunday, August 16, 2026, 11:24AM: Well, I had no intentions of hatching any more Tams until after Mimitchi and Ginji left me, but I was going through my collection last night and came across a brand-new 1997
I got brave and battled my two Digimon, Seadramon and Airdramon, several times this morning. They did get sick a few times, but they seem to be holding out much better than my previous Digimon, who died during their teen years. Perhaps they need to be fully grown before they can handle frequent battling? I also learned that feeding vitamins (snacks) can contribute to premature death in battling Digimon, so I haven't been feeding these two any at all since I learned that. I'm definitely being much more cautious with them this time around! Seadramon is 10 years old with a 46% victory rate, while Airdramon is 7 years old with a 45% victory rate. So far, they're holding their own! :-) It's a beautiful, cool, sunny day out there--a real autumn-like day, which is my favorite kind! I can't get over how quickly the summer has gone by. I won't say I'm too sad to see it go, as there have certainly been a lot of ups and downs, but I'm really hoping for a better September. It's the beginning of my absolute favorite time of year, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the coming months bring. So, as of right now, I'm once again up to seven Tams running, but many of them are getting close to passing away. I'm also having second thoughts about starting another Gen1 and Gen2, as there are plenty of other things I'd like to focus on. After all, I don't want Tamagotchi to take up all of my time again! We'll see what the rest of the week--and the rest of this month--brings. :-) This evening at exactly 5:20 PM, Ginjirotchi (blue/pink/yellow Tam) passed away at 18 years of age. He was one of my easier ones to care for, not getting demanding until today, when I finally resorted to giving him some snacks just a few hours ago. Bye-bye, Ginji. I will see you again soon! I've not been able to decide whether or not I want to hatch another Gen1 and try to get Ginji back, and then I'm completely unable to decide which shell color or design! There are just too many lovely choices. :-P Mimitchi is getting quite demanding at 21 years old, and I think I want to restart my Tiger Stripe Gen2 once he departs. That Gen2 shell holds a lot of sentimental value for me, so I'd really like to give it another life. At 9:50PM, I hatched my clear green Gen1 with blue buttons! I will try my hand at getting my Ginjirotchi back. Monday, August 17, 2026: Well, my two sets of Futagotenshi Twins returned to the celestial heavens as of noon today, and I'm now down to a much more comfortable five virtual pets. I'm praying and hoping that I manage to get anyone but those god-awful twins on my newly hatched Angelgotch, who is currently the unhealthy teen, Takoten. The Angels are such a strange Tamagotchi in that they can apparently live forever with very little attention, or die at random..... a complete mystery!
I've not been feeling the best today, which is nothing new there, but I've been taking care of my demanding Mimitchi and newly hatched clear green Tam, along with my three others: my Angel and two Digimon. I took them all with me on a very quick trip to PetSmart, which I ended up regretting afterward, but thankfully, I'm home safe and sound again now. We'll see what the evening has in store. Mimitchi is now 22 years old and very demanding, and I have a feeling he may depart tonight.....! Well, I've just been relaxing with my Tams this evening, and I just gave my clear green Tam, Marutchi, his third discipline for the day! They sure are naughty on their first day. :-) I'm already well on my way to raising a healthy and happy Ginjirotchi! I also played "Stardew Valley" with Amy. Now, we are listening to the news of actress Hayden Panettiere passing away at the young age of 36...!
This evening, we've been learning more about the final weeks of Hayden Panettiere's life, and it is just another example that people from all walks of life can struggle with mental health problems. It's another reason why I'm so thankful for my virtual-pet hobby and this website. Virtual pets, writing, and maintaining my little corner of the internet is what keeps me going! 9:11PM: Yes! My Japanese Angelgotch just evolved into a Taraten--a character that *won't* change into the twins. .::phew::. If I take good care of Taraten, he will change into the cactus, Sabotenshi. Soon time for sleep!
Tuesday, August 18, 2026, 12:30PM: This morning, I woke up at exactly 9:30 and was able to get up right away, only to discover that my Airdramon (gray/brown Digi) had changed into a Metal Greymon! Yay! I have only had Metal Greymon twice ever on a 1997 Digi, and both times were back when I was working my office job. I am so happy to have gotten him! Now I'll have to be careful battling him with my elderly Seadramon, who is dropping hearts at a much faster rate these days. I definitely don't want another premature battle death! This afternoon, rather late in the day, I hatched and awakened a new Tam! This one is dark blue with a black border and yellow buttons, with the word "Tamagotchi" in silver across the top of the shell. With my Tiger Stripe Mimitchi now 23 years old and very close to departing, I decided to get a head start and try for another Mimitchi on my newest Tam! I'm still unsure whether or not I'll restart my Tiger Stripe Tam once my old Mimitchi departs. That shell holds a lot of sentimental value for me, so I may want to give it another life. As for my clear green Tam, I gave my Marutchi his final discipline just a little while ago, after getting out of the shower and changing into fresh clothes. I'd like to get some work done on my webpages this evening, with some background TV for entertainment while I care for my little Tams. A nice, quiet evening ahead! Just shortly before 7:30 PM, my clear green Tam made the shimmery sound and evolved into the healthy teen, Tamatchi! I'm one step closer to having my twirling little Ginjirotchi back with me! :-) This evening, we were listening to the Law & Crime Network while I worked on my webpages and cared for my Tams. Winnie was running around in her hamster ball, while Binks was busy running around and keeping himself entertained. It was a nice, lively evening at home, and then, shortly before his 10 PM bedtime, my 23-year-old Mimitchi passed away. I watched as he laid an egg for me and then took off in his spaceship! I waited a little while before deciding to hatch the egg he left me, at 10:10PM to be exact, and now I'll be raising another Mimitchi! 10:35PM: I'd wanted to get to bed at a decent hour tonight, and I might pause my newly hatched Shirobabitchi until morning. Or, I might stay up long enough to see him through to the Tonmarutchi stage--I haven't decided yet! I'm going to take my bedtime medication soon and then see what tomorrow has in store for us. For now, it's time to wind down and enjoy the rest of the evening. Wednesday, August 19, 2026: Well, I was up just shortly after 9:00 this morning, a little earlier than yesterday, so that's a small improvement! I'm focusing all of my attention on my two Tonmarutchi and my Tamatchi, in hopes of raising Mimitchi and Ginjirotchi on their respective shells. I really love them when they're in the child stage as Marutchi and Tonmarutchi. They're just the cutest, little blobs of joy!
Late this morning, I got up the courage and took all of my Tams out for a small drive while the streets were quiet. I got myself a Booster Juice and drove around the quiet side streets, and it was a success! I didn't experience any anxiety at all. Nonetheless, I'm very happy to be home now. It was nice to get out for a little while and prove to myself that I could do it. This afternoon, I decided to switch things up a little and spent some time downstairs in the main living area of the apartment. It was a nice change from spending so much time upstairs in my game room. It's little things like this that help retrain my brain into healthier habits, and of course, my Tams are with me wherever I am! My two Tonmarutchi have called for discipline a couple of times. Other than that, not much! At exactly 3:44 PM, I was battling my two Digimon when Metal Greymon killed Seadramon during the third round. EEEK! Poor Seadramon! After all the battling we've done, I certainly wasn't expecting that. Now I'm unsure whether I want to hatch a second Digimon so Metal Greymon can have a new battling partner, or simply let him live out the rest of his life as a full-fledged winner! LOL! Considering how many battle-related casualties I've had with my Digimon, perhaps I should just let the poor guy enjoy his victory. :-) So as of right now, I am down to 5 Tams. Thursday, August 20, 2026, 6:07PM: I made it out on a drive today! Yay!!! I took a break from the computer for almost 24 hours and never got back to writing here after the death of my Seadramon yesterday. I've been watching a lot of Law & Crime, along with the latest coverage about the details surrounding the Hayden Panettiere case, which is certainly a rather heavy subject. This afternoon, we lightened the mood a little by watching two episodes of "Mama's Family", and we'll probably watch more this evening, too. It is so funny! I'm really glad we discovered this show during a time when we could use some more laughs. Tamagotchi-wise, there have been a couple of things happening. In chronological order, last night my Angelgotch changed into the secret character, Sabotenshi--the little cactus-looking dude! So cute! Then, this afternoon, my blue/black/yellow-buttons Gen2 became a Tongaritchi. I expect my Tiger Stripe Gen2 to become a Tongaritchi before the day is out as well, since those two were hatched on the same day. Other than that, all quiet here! This evening, I played "Stardew Valley" with Amy and watched more episodes of "Mama's Family"! I took care of my Tams throughout it all, which only added to the enjoyment of the night! It has, and always will be, my belief that Tams, virtual pets, Furbies, and stuffed animals can enjoy television and movies, browse the web, and experience all of these little everyday moments right alongside me. They're part of the household, after all, hehe!
Friday, August 21, 2026: I couldn't resist the temptation to hatch/awaken a new Tam late this morning, so I decided to hatch my turquoise blue/yellow Clockface German 1997 Gen1! I now have an even number of Gen1 and Gen2 Tams running, along with Angelgotch and DigiMon. Then I took them all with me, and we went out for lunch at Jungle Jim's with Matt's family! It was a lovely afternoon out with my Tams along for the adventure. It's very humid today, and I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up getting some thunderstorms or showers, eep! I'll be keeping a close eye on things. I'm glad that Binks and Winnie aren't bothered by loud noises, though, so hopefully they'll be perfectly content even if we do get some thunder. I wonder if abrupt weather changes have any effects on a Tams health? :-P We finished watching Season 1 of "Mama's Family" late this afternoon, and I'm already excited to start Season 2! There are so many likeable characters, along with plenty of light and funny dialogue. It's such an enjoyable show, and I'm really glad we discovered it! This evening, at exactly 8:52PM, my clear green Tama changed into a .::drum-roll::. Ginjirotchi! I am so very happy to have my smiling sweetie back with me again. I may even try to raise a second Ginjirotchi on my newly hatched Tam from this morning. You can never have too many Ginji, or Mimitchi, for that matter, hehe! It has been a beautiful evening, with the windows wide open and the smell of fresh rain falling on and off outside. Tomorrow looks like it is calling for some gorgeous weather, so perhaps we'll take a little stroll over to the creek behind the building. It would be nice to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine after such a peaceful, rainy evening. 11:44PM: I am staying up *late* tonight, and I changed the time on my Tams so they can stay awake with me! We're listening to "True Crime and Chill" on Dani After Dark's YouTube channel. It's a close-knit little group of just 11 people tonight, and it's a much more enjoyable experience than being in one of Julez's lives, where there can be hundreds of people active in the chat. There's something really nice about a smaller, more intimate live like this. It feels much more relaxed and personal. Saturday, August 22, 2026: Well, I've been diligently taking care of my Tams, particularly the two Gen2s who I'm hoping will grow up to be Mimitchi, along with my newly hatched Gen1. The two Gen2s are getting close to changing into adulthood, while my Gen1 is still in the Marutchi (child) stage. I haven't made up my mind yet about whether I want to go for a second Ginjirotchi on the Clockface Gen1, or perhaps try for a Mametchi--a character I don't tend to get very often from Gen1. I still have some time to think it over, so we'll see what I decide! This afternoon, Matthew and I took a walk through the courtyard, visited the creek, and then took a small walk up the trail! I brought my Tams along with me and took care of them throughout the entire outing. It was a very pleasant afternoon spent with loved ones and my little Tams. Sunday, August 23, 2026, 1:50PM: Last night, I stayed up late, keeping my Tams awake with me while listening to various YouTubers and chatting online with friends. I ended up sleeping in today, so before falling asleep in the wee hours of the morning, I decided to pause all of my Tams so they wouldn't go without care while I slept. This afternoon, I worked on my webpages and slowly got myself ready to go out this evening. It's Donald's birthday, and we're having a family BBQ! I was getting some tinned fruit, and at exactly 4:39PM, my blue/black Tam changed into a Mimitchi! Yay! I finally got him back, and in just six days! Now I have to pause all of my Tamagotchi, except for my Digimon, which I'm going to put to sleep while we're attending the family gathering. That way, everyone will be taken care of while we're out celebrating Donald's birthday. :-) This evening, I got home at 9PM, much later than I'd anticipated, but it was okay. I'm tired, although I'm having a bit of a hard time unwinding after being out for the evening. Needless to say, I'm really glad that I went out tonight! Now I'm in bed, listening to YouTube and caring for my Tams. I'm sure glad to have Mimitchi back, and hopefully by tomorrow I'll have a second one! Monday, August 24, 2026, 6:41PM: This afternoon, at about 12:20PM, my Tiger Stripe Gen2 changed into another Mimitchi, so now I have two Mimitchi! I am so happy about this. :-) As for my turquoise and yellow Gen1, he is currently the healthy teen, Tamatchi. I'm still deciding whether I'd like to raise another Ginjirotchi, or perhaps go for Mametchi--the cousin of Mimitchi, although I've never been quite as fond of him. :-P We'll see what the rest of the week brings, I guess! I would write more, but I am just having one of those days where it's best to stay quiet......... Tuesday, August 25, 2026: Today has been one of the most humid, muggy days we've had all summer. I'm honestly shocked to be having this kind of weather this late in the month! And then, to make matters worse, the air conditioner has been leaking A LOT of water and shutting itself off. .::sigh::. My Tams have watched me soaking up water off the floor several times today. :-P I suppose they are getting a little lesson in household maintenance along with their usual care and attention! I guess it could always be worse, right? :-) I await the change of my final Tam in the group, my European turquoise and yellow Gen1, into adulthood. I've fully disciplined him and even left the lights on one night, so now it will be a surprise whether he becomes a Ginjirotchi or a Mametchi! According to Thaao's Tamagotchi Page, it's a 50/50 chance between the two, depending on the Tam's programming, which is very interesting to learn after all these years of raising Tams. Early this evening, I've been doing my usual routine of working on webpages and listening to YouTube, true crime, and current-events content. Once again, though, I think I'm going to have to be more careful about the things I let into my mind, particularly when it comes to Trump and the constant stream of coverage surrounding him, the trade war with Canada, and the continued threats of making Canada the 51st state. It is simply too much for my mental health, and yet another reason I take such refuge in things like Tams, video games, and my webpages. Wed., Aug. 26, 2026, 12:00AM: Wee hours! My Tams have been keeping pretty weird hours along with me lately, and since they're all 1997 versions, changing their clocks doesn't have any ill effect on them. It's nice having them keep me company during my late nights without having to worry about them dying. I can't wait to get back to my normal hours, but for now, it's ok. We've begun watching season 2 of "Mama's Family". :-) Well, this afternoon, at exactly 1:07PM, the moment of truth finally arrived for my Clockface Tam, and he became a Mametchi! The best character on Gen1! Mametchi has never been my favorite character, and she is certainly mighty difficult to win the game with, but it's still nice to see her again after all these years. I call her by the she/her pronoun because Mametchi has always been very female looking to me. Then, shortly after that, at exactly 1:22PM, Ginjirotchi (clear green) got his first sickness at the age of 11. I can't get over how quickly the time goes... He still has some time left, but I really wish Ginji lived as long as Mametchi and Mimitchi. I've not been out of the apartment since Sunday, and I'm feeling pretty darn awful, to be quite honest. It's been a difficult few days, and I'm really struggling right now. Thankfully, having my Tams around makes things a little easier to deal with. Hopefully things will start to look up again *soon*! It has cooled down a little bit today, but the building is still holding onto a lot of humidity, so I've been spending a great deal of time in the bedroom with the air conditioner going. Thankfully, it won't be like this forever. Pretty soon, autumn will be here--my favorite time of the year! I can't wait for the cooler temperatures, crisp air, and all the cozy feelings that come with my favorite season. Thursday, August 27, 2026: Today has been extremely difficult, and probably one of the worst days I've had yet since starting Cymbalta in the spring. I'm finding it so hard to function even with the most basic of tasks, and my moods feel completely out of control. I've written every single day this month, and honestly, it has been the worst month yet on Cymbalta. Part of me wonders if I should even be posting about this anymore. But this is what my life has been like lately, and pretending otherwise doesn't make it disappear. Tamagotchi-wise, things are going just fine, thank goodness for my little ones. I've been caring for them all day while trying to get through this terrible anxiety and depression. They've been good little companions and have given me something small and comforting to focus on throughout the day. :-) This evening, I've been staying up a little later, as I've gotten into doing recently, while listening to a live from Dani After Dark. I kept my Tams up late with me, and got to thinking about just how cute Mametchi is! He's nowhere near as important to me as Ginjirotchi or Mimitchi, of course, but he's actually a really cute little Tam that I've never given enough credit. Friday, August 28, 2026: A little better today! And I even did some light cleaning, too! So, a little exercise, a little productivity--not bad at all. :-) On the Tamagotchi front, things have been pretty quiet, but I have noticed a slight increase in demand from my 13-year-old Ginjirotchi. I've also noticed that my 20-year-old Metal Greymon is getting a little more demanding, but that makes sense considering how old he is! This evening, Matthew gave me a haircut, and boy, does it feel good! I washed my hair immediately afterward and then came into the bedroom to check on my Tams. Sabotenshi, my 14-year-old Cactus Angel Tam, beeped at me with completely empty hearts! I was shocked because he hadn't been demanding at all, and I really wasn't gone all that long getting my haircut. I wonder if he will pass away soon? I hope not! He is such a cute one! Later this evening, we watched a documentary about the Wonderland Murders, which shocked me to my very core. I decided to watch it because it was the subject of "Dani After Dark"'(s) YouTube live that I watched last night. Very interesting, albeit disturbing, piece of true crime history. I'm keeping my Tams up late again this evening, as I have no plans of going out over the weekend, and I'm continuing to take a break from driving. I think we are going to watch "Mama's Family" now! :-) Saturday, August 29, 2026: Today I did a lot! I shampooed the carpets and got every bit of the upstairs rooms and hallway completed, so I'm very happy! I don't know where this burst of motivation came from, but I'm not going to think about it too much. I'm just going to enjoy the fact that I got so much accomplished today. :-) My Tams sat back and watched as I did all of this, and then both Mimitchi got their first sickness, both at age 12. The time is going by so fast, but I'm making the most of my time with them all, especially Ginji! This evening, I've been keeping an extra-close eye on all my Tams while tuning in to Live with the Verdict Room, which now officially features Julez every Saturday! It's become a really nice Saturday-evening tradition, and I'm happy to have my Tams keeping me company while I listen in. Now that the carpets are all finished, I can sit back, relax, and enjoy the evening! Sunday, August 30, 2026, 8:03PM: I've been feeling very unwell again today, but as usual, my Tams have been pleasant little companions to have around me. I'm noticing the demand levels of Metal Greymon, Sabotenshi, and Ginji quite a bit now, but no matter--they're all getting the care and attention they need, and I'm more than happy to look after them. :-) This will be a quick entry this evening, as I'm just not feeling well. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Maybe more tomorrow! This evening, my anxiety has been pretty high, and unfortunately, even my PRN diazepam isn't providing much relief. I'm hoping to get off to bed soon and just let the day come to an end. 11:10PM: Well, perhaps the diazepam did help after all. I have my Tams' clocks changed and am keeping them awake with me tonight. We're listening to various videos from the True Crime Design YouTube channel! I know I *should* be in bed, but I will just enjoy this moment for now.... Monday, August 31, 2026: It's the final day of another month, and time to get a new section of the journal ready for September. I am all ready for my appointment with the psychiatrist tomorrow, and I'm hopeful that she will be able to help. I will likely pause my Tams during the appointment, since most of them are well into the demanding phase of their lives. For now, I'm just hoping that tomorrow goes well. Late this afternoon, at exactly 4:21 PM, Mametchi got sick at the age of 11, so now all of my Tams are in the advanced stage of their lives. Ginji, Cactus Angel, and Metal Greymon are the most demanding, with the two Mimitchi coming in second. I am feeling very unwell today, so as usual I've been staying in the apartment. This evening, I'm staying up late *again*. I've been watching and listening to YouTube and chatting online with friends, all the while taking care of my Tams. It's been a quiet, relaxing way to spend the evening and end off the month on a good note.
