Part 39

Sunday, August 3, 2025:  Things have been going well with Ocean and Ozzy! Today while having lunch with my friend, Amy, Ocean changed into his final adult form - mimitchi, just as I'd hoped. :-) Ozzy is 4 years of age and not yet fully grown. August has gotten off to a wonderful start! I have a list of things I want to do in the remaining 5 months of 2025! I will write about them here as we do them. :-)  

Tuesday, August 5, 2025: I am happy to say that Ozzy is fully grown and very healthy at his young age of 6! Ocean the mimitchi is also very healthy and undemanding at his young age of 9 - I barely ever have to check on him. :-) The virtual pets have been great company while monitoring the status of the wildfires here in NL... Sending good thoughts to friends, relatives and all effected by this. This afternoon we watched an episode of "Derry Girls" to lighten the mood a little.. Oh yes, Ozzy and Ocean got to tag along on a trip to Foodland earlier. :-) Later this afternoon/evening we might be going out for dinner.

7:50PM: We are just back after having dinner at Swiss Chalet, followed by a walk down in Bauline line... Very beautiful night outside... The fires continue on the outskirts of town, but for now we are okay. :-) Ozzy and Ocean got to enjoy this beautiful evening with us....

Thursday, August 7, 2025:  Oliver, my Nano Puppy was born last night!! He's really cute, and my first virtual pet that I ever owned as child in 1997! I want to see how long I can get him to live....! Nano's are famous for reset issues, but I think I have the batteries and censors aligned just right. :-) He's really tiny at the moment in the first stage of development, but I know he'll grow bigger and cuter as he gets older.

Saturday, August 9, 2025: I am on the edge of my seat listening to updates on the wildfire situation. The winds have been changing and the fire is spreading in different directions....! I am trying to stay positive...  The virtual pets have been quite comforting. My Nano Puppy grew a little today. :-) They've been chilling out in the game room lots and watching me fish in ACNL! They've also been listening to *a lot* of CourtTv!

Sunday, August 10, 2025: The province is now in a state of emergency due to wildfires... :-( I may not update for a few days as I just have nothing positive to write at the time being. Ocean, Ozzy and Oliver are keeping me company up in the bedroom (where it's cool with A/C). It's sooooo dry outside -- not used to this kind of weather at all. I hope we get rain *soon*!!

Monday, August 11, 2025: Oliver changed into the third and most adorable stage of development this afternoon. :-) I wish I could make a page for him...but I'm barely able to keep this section up-to-date as it is, with my html editor being gone and all... All three virtual pets got to have lunch with us at Pita Pit this afternoon. :-) It was delicious, will definitely go again at some point!

Tuesday, August 12, 2025:  Things aren't getting any better on the home-front sadly.. We are still in a state of emergency, and the fires have gotten way closer to the city than I ever imagined they would. :-( We are still okay where we are... for now... I decided to pack up *all* my Tams and virtual pets into one big bin just in case we have to evacuate. I filled up the Jeep with gas and did all my laundry (clothing) this morning. I really pray we don't have to evacuate.... I'm wishing for rain!! Nothing to report vpet wise except they've been at my side for everything, particularly Ocean, my Mimitchi of 16 years. :-)

9:17PM: Ocean the Mimitchi is keeping me company while I wind down for sleep.. He's beginning to drop hearts a little faster now. We are chatting to Katherine on Facebook messenger about her Santaclautch. :-) It's helping take my mind off the wildfire situation. She gave me a "sneak peak" of her Santaclautchi page and I can't wait to read her journey with this Christmas themed Tam! I'm inserting a few images to my entries before bed. :-) It's working out great so far! More tomorrow!

Wednesday, August 13, 2025:  I've been busy inserting images and links to different portions of my webpages today. :-) I also updated Ozzy's stats over on the Bitty Kitty page. If things keep going well then I might be able to make a page for my Nano Puppy! Ocean Mimitchi is 17 years old today and definitely showing his age. I plan to keep him around as long as possible!

I've been continuing to fish a lot in ACNL the last couple of days. It's relaxing and I can listen to news and TV at the same time. We've also been re-watching "Derry Girls" on Netflix, which has always been a favorite of ours... :-) I feel like I can finally relax a little now that I've taken all the measures possible in the event we need to evacuate!

Sunday, August 17, 2025:  Ocean, my Mimitchi of 21 years is dropping hearts a lot more frequently. He's woken me up at 9:50AM the last two mornings with completely empty hearts, and then he was sick this afternoon -- eep! I hope he stays around a while longer....! He's no trouble to win the game with. :-) Thankfully things seem to have settled down wildfire wise.... but I still have my things packed *just* in case we need to flee. Oh yes, also my Nano Puppy: Oliver grew/matured again yesterday. He's 10 years old and going strong! Tonight we have two documentaries lined up to watch on Netflix, so the vpets will get to partake in that. Also this evening Nancy will be doing a live-stream on her True Crime and Moonshine channel! Can't wait!

Monday, August 18, 2025:  My Bitty Kitty (GigaPet), Ozzy is 19 years/days old! Wow! He is in advanced age now so I have to keep his health at least 95 or he will die. As for Oliver, my Nano Puppy, he is only 11 years/days. The longest Nano I ever kept alive was 28 days back in 2019. I'm going to see if I can beat my old record. :-) Ocean is 22 years old and *very* demanding, but I don't mind at all. I only let him beep with empty hearts first thing in the morning when I'm still sleeping. He is a great little alarm clock since I've been sleeping past 9AM a lot lately! This afternoon the vpets have been watching me play "Mario Party: The Top 100", a really fun 3DS game. I've been really sleepy today so I made myself some strong coffee to sip on while I update my webpages. There's a cool fall breeze coming through the windows, and all is well. We will definitely be watching some Netflix later on!

Thursday, August 21, 2025:  Ocean Mimitchi is 25 years old today! Wow! I've let him beep at me with completely empty hearts two times this afternoon/evening while I was busy browsing through a new True Crime Facebook group. Other than that I've been taking perfect care of him. Ozzy and Oliver are still here and very easy to care for! I don't expect Ocean to be around for much longer, but I am going to take the best care of him possible and see how long he makes it. :-) I need to take a break from true crime stuff now for the evening and continue reading Katherine's Santa Tamagotch logs! :-D

Sunday, August 24, 2025:  Ocean is 28 years old today! I wonder if he'll make it to 30? Katherine and I were discussing this yesterday, since she hatched a gen2 and wants a long living Mimitchi like myself and others have achieved. :-) It's just another aspect of mystery with the re-release Tams - some of them live *really* long if you coddle them enough. I love them all so much! I want to hatch another one but I am going to wait until after Ocean departs. He's no trouble to care for, but I did pause him for a few hours last night while we were celebrating Donald's birthday! In all, I'd say I've paused him a total of 6-7 hours, so his age is close to accurate.

Monday, August 25, 2025:  Ocean, my Mimitchi of 29 years took off in his spaceship this evening at 7:40PM. Poor little guy was very demanding in his last days, but still easy to care for at the same time, if that makes sense...! I really got used to his being around. I'd hoped he'd make it to 30 but that's ok. :-) I have plans to hatch a new Tam as soon as possible!

8:03PM:  Well that was a quick decision! I just set the time on my Pink Treasure Jewel Gen2. I was going to open one of my new Tams but decided against it for now. I've named this one Ruby, and I'm hoping to raise a hashizotchi! She's already gotten to watch an episode of "Mom" in her shirobabitchi baby form. :-) I can't wait for her to change into a Tonmarutchi!

Tuesday, August 26, 2025:  Ruby is doing well so far in her childhood! She has already called for two disciplines and I've been playing the number game a lot - even when she doesn't need it. I find that this helps a re-release Tam stay healthy. :-) This morning we did laundry, and this afternoon I folded everything and put it away, all good for another week or so! Tomorrow I am going to pause her in the afternoon when we go to Clay Cafe with Donald so as not to mess up in my caretaking. I am so excited to see Donald and make a new creation at the cafe! Last time I made a Tam cradle!

2:52PM  I haven't said much about my Nano Puppy or my Bitty Kitty, but they are both still here! Oliver is 19 and Ozzy is 27! I have no way of pausing them so I will just have to hope for the best and check on them whenever I can while out and about tomorrow....!

Thursday, August 28, 2025:  We had a really nice time with Donald yesterday! I painted a candle lantern at clay cafe! As for my virtual pets: I didn't realize just how hardy/tough/patient Nano's and GigaPet's are! Ozzy and Oliver fared very well while at clay cafe yesterday afternoon. I fed and cared for them quickly on the way to dinner at Quintannas and then didn't get to them for another 2 hours after that. Thankfully they did great! :-) Ruby stayed at home on pause for the afternoon/early evening. I resumed her time at 7PM last night. This morning she changed into the unhealthy teen character, hashitamatchi. :-)

Later:  Ruby has been sick two times this afternoon, eek! She also called for a couple of disciplines. Let's hope she makes it! This afternoon/evening the vpets have been watching me play several video games ("Spyro the Dragon", "Mario Tennis", and "Luigi's Mansion"). I'm determined to try and beat "Luigi's Mansion" once and for all. I've not played this one since 2023 when I bought it..... such a good game! I also own the original GameCube version so I plan to play that one, and compare/contrast the differences between the two!

Saturday, August 30, 2025:  Ruby changed into a hashizotchi at 1:57PM! She's just whom I'd been hoping for. :-) I was holding her up to the window a little while ago (before she changed) so she could see the heavy rainfall we are currently experiencing. She will most likely get out on some driving adventures and maybe even a walk if I'm up to it. I don't think I'll be going out much over this long weekend.... but who knows, maybe we will make a trip to EB Games or Games Exchange. Matthew and I have also been discussing the idea of going to see a movie in theatre. :-)

Sunday, August 31, 2025:  Ruby got out for a short walk with us late this afternoon! Ozzy and Oliver stayed at home in the game room. I don't take my eyes off Ruby for very long. She's a hashizotchi, more on the unhealthy side, and has gotten sick quite a few times already...I hope I can keep her around for a while! This evening the vpets are watching the Hurricane Katrina documentary with me on Netflix -- eep!
