My Nano Dino

My Nano Dino was born on Tuesday, October 7, at 1:39PM, and passed away early on the morning of Friday, October 17, 2025!

Tuesday, October 7, 2025:  My first day with Nano Dino! I've decided to keep a seperate diary of his growth and activities since this is no easy virtual pet to keep alive. He's given me quite the run for my money so far today. I have to check on him every 10-15 minutes to make sure he is full, happy, and disciplined enough--the scores go down *fast*! I took him for a walk down in the woods this evening which was a lot of fun, and I didn't take my eyes off him. It was nice he was able to be there for this experience. My other two virtual pets (a GigaPet Baby T-Rex and my Tamagotchi) stayed in the Jeep while we explored.

At around 6:20PM as we were finishing our walk he beeped at me with the attention light on. He was sick, with the little mushroom in the top right corner, a Nano signature. :-) I pressed the nurses icon and an ambulance came racing across the screen and the Doctor nursed my Dino back to good health.

At exactly 7:11PM my Nano Dino began beeping! I looked to the screen to see the sun setting over the mountains, and then the screen went dark! I think it is SO cool how there is a day and night feature in this version of Nano. :-) Here is a picture of him:

Wednesday, October 8, 2025:  I was really tired last night and unable to come back with an update. My little Dino fell asleep at exactly 9:01PM and soon after I fell asleep as well. He alerted me at 7AM that he was awake which prompted me to get up as well. :-) It was dark for the first 15 or so minutes and then the sun came up around 7:15....! He's been no trouble so far today other than needing food and games every 20 minutes or so.

I was out driving for about an hour today! Dino drops hunger and happiness *really* fast, and needs cleaning, treats, or discipline pretty often. He hasn't been sick yet today but I'm fully expecting that soon.

7:11PM: Well it's been a pretty uneventful day up until just now when the sun went down. The attention light is lit up, and I can't get it to turn off even though he's full, happy and disciplined.... I tried giving him a bath and bringing him to the doctor, but still the attention light continues to stay on....

7:14PM: Just as I was writng the above he got sick! I knew it! I will have to give him a second dose of medicine before bedtime, as is the case with all Nano's. I wonder what tomorrow will bring? I hope he lives!

Thursday, October 9, 2025:  Caring for a Nano Dino is very tideous and time consuming and that seems to be the general consensus among those who own one. I heard if you let them go to bed sick they will die, so last night I woke him up about ten times so I could give him his second dose of medicine.... I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep this going, but I'll try. :-)

Friday, October 10, 2025:  My Nano Dino, George grew into his second stage of development this morning! Below, you can see how he looks today at age 3. He is every so slightly bigger in the legs and face, and he seems a little less on the demanding side today. Maybe he will become less demanding as he grows older?

Monday, October 13, 2025:  I've not updated in a few days now because I've been taking a break from my webpages and being online so much. This has given me much more time to focus on George, my Nano Dino. He matured again yesterday at age 5! He's really big now! However, he continues to be *really* demanding. I am not sure how long I'll be able to keep him around for....!

Friday, October 17, 2025:  George passed away this morning as per my entry in part 41 Ginji's Journal. I overslept this morning by an hour or so, and when I finally did wake up my Nano Dino was gone. This is the only Nano to date that has had an *actual* ending. I posted a reel of it over on my instagram....! I am looking forward to raising the Nano Baby soon. I think it will be much easier to care for than the Dino version....!
