Devilgotch  Blogs

Part 1

Welcome to part 1 of my Devilgotchi blogs. These blogs begin on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, and run to the present date. I have never played with this particular Tama version before so it will be based all on my own first accounts, with a little help from YouTube if things get complicated. :)

Tuesday, December 27, 2016: In the spirit of Christmas I decided to hatch a brand new Tamagotchi that I have never played with before. I set the time on my Devilgotchi at 7:03 pm and he hatched at 7:06.  I didn't have time to make an animation of the hatching screen as there was really no 'egg' that it hatched from.  There was a devil spirit on the screen when I pulled the tab and then I set the time.

At exactly 7:06 a series of beeps occurred and then I was greeted by my character. This guys name is Devil Zuccitchi and he looks very much like Zukitchi from P2 with some added devil wings. :) I will try and create a legible animation of this little guy... And here he is.

Devil Zuccitchi

Devil Zuccitchi: "Looks more intimidating than it acts; this Devil is quite shy, and weak to the temptation of the Angels" - Tamagotchi Wika

After he 'hatched' I fed him four meals and played some games with him. He eats some kind of little beef burger... I will have to find out exactly what his food is. After which I played the game which is really easy. You just have to move left and right on the screen to catch falling stars. Easy and cute! :)

7:31PM: He just made a beep at me and the screen was all black with his silhouette in the background. I went to the icon of the little angel and scolded him and that brought his devil power down to 30DP. He had 60DP before I had to scold him. He has been very quiet and easy to care for aside from this, not demanding at all. He has remained full and happy since I fed and played with him initially.

8:16PM: The screen just went black again and he threw his food up in the air when I tried to feed him. I scolded him again and now he is at 25DP.

8:19PM: He was just naughty again so NOW the devil power is down to 15DB!! My goodness I don't know what to make of this little guy!

So I finally consulted with some friends (Shawn and Matt) and they have told me this: growth of the characters are based on how high or low the Devil Power is. They said that if the DP gets to be 90-100 my character will likely die. But the higher the DP, the better the character will be. Not sure if that makes sense to me yet, but I am just going to go with the flow and see what happens. :)

8:55PM: A different tune than I have heard already just played and he was looking very cheerful on the screen. Instead of scolding him, I went to the next icon over which is that of a little hand and clicked it. This icon is to shake your characters hand and this brought his Devil Power down to 5DP.

He went to bed at 9:00PM with full hunger and happiness, and 5DP. We shall see what tomorrow brings in the way of his progress. :)

Wednesday, December 28, 2016: Today I woke up from my sleep around 9:00 and stayed lounging in bed until 10:00. Lazy lazy lazy. As a result, I don't know what time Devil Zuccitchi woke up today, but when I checked on him at around 9:30 he was full and happy. :)

I haven't been able to keep a tally of events, only to say that his Devil Power has been back and forth between 0DP and 25DP so far. He has required very little attention, only needing to be fed and played with every now and then. He did throw his food back at me twice and was naughty during the game. I scolded him those three times and he also required two hand shakes so far today.

I would like to let his Devil Power go up a little because apparently the higher the DP, the better the character. The only catch is if the DP goes beyond 90-100, he will die. So I am going to have to be really careful!

The reason I haven't kept a tally of things is because of 1.) I have friends here hanging out, and 2.) I've been ignoring my friends and making animations. Below are the status screens for the Devilgotchi!

Age Hunger Happy Devil Power

At present his Devil Power is at 30DP because I have ignored when he has been selfish/wanting a handshake. I am going to play around with this and see what happens. I will be happy with whatever he grows into so long as he actually manages to make it to adulthood. :)

Tomorrow I go back to work and if I am lucky it will be quiet enough in the office for me to keep a tally of his stats throughout the day. It's really exciting to be raising a new Tam. :)

Thursday, December 29, 2016: Today I had to work but that paid off for Devilgotchi because I was confined to my desk for 8 hours today. :) I kept a tally of events throughout the work day, but once work was over the stats went out the window. Here is what I successfully made note of today:

He woke up at 8 AM with 35DP and required food at the following times: 8:34, 9:13, 10:35, 11:29, 11:56, 1:14, 2:30, 3:15, 4:45 and then I stopped keeping track. He required the same amount in games and needed those around the same time as the feedings, if not the same time in a few instances. No real eating schedule, very random like Morino Tama. :) I like that.

He pooped at the following times: 9:12, 11:28, 1:14, 3:15 and then I lost track. From the tally of times, I took I can see there is no real poop schedule, again very random.

I didn't keep track of the times that I scolded or shook hands with him, only to say that the highest the Devil Power got today was 35-40. I really want to get his DP up higher so that I have a chance at a better character. He again went to bed at 9pm this evening. I am left wondering when he will change into his next stage.... Maybe tomorrow?

Friday, December 30, 2016: Before I start about the events that took place today, I want to note the fact that there was no Babitchi stage on this Tama. I set the time and the face of a ghost or demon appeared and then five minutes later I had Devil Zuccitchi on the screen. I've not mentioned this until now simply because I was just in awe over the Tama itself. :)

Today was an incredibly busy day at the office I work so I never had time to keep note of his feeding times and such. I did however take really good care of him all day long and never let his hearts drop below one. I have managed to ignore some of his bad behavior and have his Devil Power up to 65DP!! I will play around with the DP more tomorrow.

I was chatting with some folks on the Tamagotchi Ancestors page and they said my Devil should evolve by age 4, so that means tomorrow!! I am excited to see who I get next. :)

Saturday, December 31, 2016: New Years Eve being spent at home! This has been of benefit to my Devilgotchi and three other Tamas. :) This afternoon while out to lunch with my friends my Zukidebitchi changed into a Pukudebitchi, a very cute looking little joker of some sort. Since I was out all day I never had a chance to make an animation of him before he fell asleep tonight.  He still falls asleep at 9pm.

It seems that after they fall asleep they will set off some kind of commotion at 9:59, and then 10:59. It seems the 59th minute is like the time for it to step out of line. :P

I will make the animation of my character tomorrow.  Hopefully I will have more things to share in the next few days. :)

Sunday, January 1, 2017: Happy New Year! And as I promised, I have made the animation of my Pukudebitchi. :)  He certainly isn't an exact animation of what he really is, but it's an accurate vision of what he looks like at least. Here he is below!

Pukudebitchi

Pukudebitchi: a big eater with a long tongue, but eats very slowly. He is suspected to be related to Chubby Angel AKA Pukuten. - Tamagotchi Wika

He has been very easy to care for today, requiring very little of anything. I would say that the only difficult part of this Tama is when you go to feed/play with it and it decides to be mischievous. Since I want to raise his Devil Power to some extent, I will get kicked out of feeding/playing with him and need to wait a few minutes. But it's not a big deal. I raised the Ocean a bunch of times so I don't think anything could be as infuriating as that. ;)

Interesting note about something that happened last night: I stayed up till midnight to hear the fireworks and I had the sound turned on my Devilgotchi. Shortly after midnight he *actually* set off fireworks. I actually saw fireworks shooting off on the black sleeping screen. :) I thought it was awesome considering there were fireworks going off outside. Anyways.... That was about as wild as my New Years got. And I really wouldn't have it any other way. :)

Monday, January 2, 2017: Nothing major to report for today. He has been very easy to care for as he has been since I hatched him. I just do the best I can to ensure that his Devil Power doesn't go beyond 90. So far the highest it has gotten is 80DP. I am too afraid to let it go any higher than that. Someday I will experiment with it, but for now, I am going to play things safe. :)

______________________________________________________________________________

Wednesday, January 4, 2017: Another rather uneventful day with the Devilgotchi today. Nothing out of the ordinary happened and he is all of 7 years of age. Normally a regular Tama would be into its adulthood by now, but now Devilgotchi. I would think by tomorrow he should reach his adulthood! I am sooo excited to see whom I will get on him. I have been keeping the Devil Power up as much as I can without going over 80, and I've been keeping his hearts as full as possible. I really didn't think I was going to love this Tama as much as I am, and it was definitely worth the money. :)

______________________________________________________________________________

Thursday, January 5, 2017: This evening I let his Devil Power reach 90 and I got kinda nervous.  I had lost track of time and then realized how high it had gotten. I immediately brought it back down to 80 again.  I hope that he survives!!!!!

He is 8 years old today so I think he should be changing very soon.  These Tamas certainly take a long time to grow up.  I've heard some people complain about it, but I think it just adds to the experience. :) maybe age 9 will be changing day......

______________________________________________________________________________

Friday, January 6, 2017: Today I knew he was going to be changing into his adult form - I just didn't know when. I was so excited when I looked down at my Devilgotch this afternoon to see not only had he changed into an adult, but changed into the *best* adult. I got Debirumametchi aka Devil Mametchi! S/he is sooooo cute!! Love it! I guess I really did take perfect care and let the DP go up as far as it could go without killing him. And that is the trick to getting the 'better' adults. Below is the animation I made of him, which is very basic.  I am not used to using that pixel template yet...

Debrumametchi: "According to Professor Banzo, Devil Mametchi is said to be a liar who is easily deceived, always tired and refuses to take responsibilities. It is an Advanced Devil." - Tamagotchi Wika

I was chatting with Shawn and he told me that this character can change into a secret character. I told him I didn't want to know how to obtain the secret character as I have been trying to experience my first time without the help (well too much help) from the internet. I don't know if I have to keep the Devil Power high or low in order to obtain the secret character. I am just going to do what I've been doing with it and see what happens.

He fell asleep promptly at 9pm as he has done since I started him. My little Devil is 9 years of age, three full hunger hearts, three full happy hearts, and has 25DP. I am looking forward to playing around with the DP in the future, but for now I am gonna enjoy my little Devil Mametchi. :)

______________________________________________________________________________

Monday, January 9, 2017: I haven't updated in a few days now but my Devil Mametchi has been doing just fine. Nothing in his routine has changed when it comes to feeding, playing games, disciplining, etc.. But I have noticed a few little quirks to this Tama. Yesterday I was sitting here at my computer and all of the sudden heard some strange beeps. I looked down to see DebruMametchi surfing across the screen with the flushing motion happening. It was adorable!!

The next thing that happened was even cuter!! There was another series of beeps and I look down to see Debrumametchi chasing a Kuriten - the character from Angelgotchi - off the screen! I laughed right out loud! It was so cute!! I also saw Kuriten fly across the screen the other night when my Devilgotch was sleeping. I can't wait to see more of these cute animations. I heard that they are different with every character you get!

I'm not sure if I will get the secret character or not.  But I really don't mind either way! This Tam has attitude and I love it!

On another note: I got word today from Erina on the Tama Facebook page that my newest Devilogtchi I purchased has been shipped!  It is black with purple border and designs on the shell. I cannot wait to get it!!!

Wednesday, January 11, 2017: Lack of blogs has meant that not a whole lot has been going on with Debrumametchi. I've been training people at work and up and down from my desk all day, but he hasn't been any trouble to deal with at all.  Really nothing to report at all! I haven't caught him doing any new animations, but I am sure I miss a great deal of them during the work day because the sound is turned off at those times.

I'm not sure how much longer my character will actually live for, but he shows no signs of leaving yet. :) I haven't paused it for more than a few hours in it's entire life.  He is 14 years old today!

______________________________________________________________________________

Thursday, January 12, 2017: Age 15 brought a pleasant surprise and I got the secret character that comes from Debrumametchi!! His/her name is Kuridebitchi and what a sweetie! Soo cute! The little expression on his face is just so adorable. :) He changed on a rather random note after he beeped at me and asked to shake hands. After I shook hands with him he made a series of little beeps and then changed into this little guy to the right. We were all in the car at the time; Mom was driving Gitta and Matt home. I snapped the photo of him right in the car as we drove. :) I plan to make an animation of Kuridebitchi tomorrow after work as I am too tired to do anything with my pixel-draw program this evening. We are just going to continue hanging out and watching Weeds on Netflix. So glad that tomorrow is Friday! This weekend should give me plenty of time to work on my page and make the animation

______________________________________________________________________________

Saturday, January 14, 2017: I've still not gotten around to making the animation of Kuridebitchi due to work and then today I was over to Matt's place all day. I just need to get some pictures of him on my phone in different sprites so I can do the animation properly!

Something a little weird I need to mention about my Devilgotchi: Since Thursday his age has read 15 years, and today he should be 18.  I don't know why his age count hasn't been going up each day. I consulted with Shawn and Matt today and Matt said that his age changes at midnight each night. I did pause him before bed once but other than that I've let him sleep through the night without pausing.  I will see if he ages a day tomorrow and post back here again.

______________________________________________________________________________

Sunday, January 15, 2017: Kuridebitchi is still 15 years of age when he should really be 19. I have no idea why this has happened but he is as healthy and happy as can be so I'm not worried. I finally got around to making the animation of him this evening so here he is!!

Kuridebetchi aka Clione Deviltchi: Despite its external characteristics as a Devil, Clione Deviltchi is actually very sincere and likes to help others. It is also more interested in fulfilling achievements associated with Angeltchi than it is with its own. This has caused confusion and outrage in the Devil World. - Tamagotchi Wika

Since changing into this character I have seen Kuriten on the screen a lot more.  Each night that he goes to sleep, Kuriten dashes across the screen. It is so cute!! I also read that when this character 'dies", Kuriten will come and take him away!

I've been puffing away on my electronic cigarette as I type this and I am starting to enjoy it a little bit.... Not sure if I am going to stick with it or not yet. Randomness for today's Devil blog. ;)

______________________________________________________________________________

Tuesday, January 17, 2017: Kuridebetchi is still going strong at his supposed age of 21 even though it still reads 15 on the status meter. I have no idea why this happened and I don't think I'll ever figure it out.  I will be interested to see if my future Devil Tamas age in the same fashion or if it's just a glitch with my current character..... Other than that not a whole lot to report.

______________________________________________________________________________

Wednesday, January 18, 2017: Well I knew it would happen sooner or later and to be honest I wasn't that surprised when it happened today.  I was on my lunch hour, hanging out over at Matt's place when I heard a beep that I hadn't heard before from my Devilgotchi.  His Devil Power had gone above 90 so he passed away.  The thing I was most shocked about was the fact that he died a bad death.  This is the screen that displayed after I pressed B button when I heard the strange beeping.

When the beeping occured, my little Kuridebitchi just stood there on the screen like he does when he wants to shake hands.  I knew that wasn't what he wanted, though.  It departs the same way that the Angels do, and the only way for the departure to finish was for me to press B button.

He was 22 years of age and an interesting note: the last few days I noticed he wasn't being "selfish" as much, meaning that his DP was getting higher and higher and it was becoming harder to bring it down.  I will be hatching a new Devilgotchi very soon.  I am waiting for my black Devilgotchi to come in the mail so I am going to try and be patient enough for that one to arrive.  But you know me.... When I have a Tama I love, I can't go more than a day without hatching it.
